i was hoping to pay you guys in the final.
barnet have gone 4 games unbeaten. the play offs beckon. that is, as soon as the other teams in the bottom five have played all their games in hand.
can anyone answer me how in the 2nd division we have managed to play 3 and 4 more games than the teams around us? seems mental.
and are still in the fa cup.
that's why we haven't played that many
Games called off. Quite easy to suddenly be 3 or 4 games if you knocked out of those and have no games called off.
was great. Was willing West Ham to get a second goal in injury time. They had the chances too.
That is all.
STOKED ABOUT STOKES. A nice wee humping of the Jambos last night.
makes of this ...
Overrated mercenary, deserves to be playing in a league that's the equivalent of League 1 at best.
i think he'll be awful. really really aqful.
and Neville didn't do a bad job in the role on ITV during the 2002 World Cup, as I recall. Anything that keeps him well away from the first-team squad will do for me though.
is on Man Utd's side?
is there's not many former Utd personnel in regular TV punditry jobs. Peter Schmiechel was on Match of The Day for a bit, but he was shit.
despite being an ex-Everton player Gray is/was/tiswas well on the side of Liverpool, or at least Steven 'YOU BEEEAAAUUUTTEEHHH' Gerrard.
I understood that most people thought his reputation was for kissing the arse of Man Utd.

Darren Pratley (Swansea) to West Ham
yes please. The only potential stumbling block with that transfer is the fact we may have to pay money to sign him. Otherwise it's a definite goer
and Udinese seem to be keen to receive a big pile of Euros for him
Pllllleeeeeeeeease happen :DDD
Shame really, our best player on his day. We're fucked.
Wigan are asking £15 million
are being linked with Charlie Austin and Craig Mackail-Smith. Both are certainly good players for this level, but I'd rather have a midfielder or two I think, especially if all our good ones are gonna leave at some point :(
What's he like?
too many of our top scorers in the past have just warmed the bench at other clubs: simon cox, billy paynter, sam parkin... just hope that whoever he goes to puts him as first choice
Lallana isn't going anywhere, ditto Schieders. Oxo wont leave in this transfer market and Hammo and Chaplow are good enough for League 1.
I think another striker is what we need in all honesty. Whoever decided to give Connolly a new contract needs to be shot. Maybe a defender as well, not convinced by Seaborne, Martin has been injured/ not there yet.
In reply to Lucius, I'm not quite sure why you would want him. He's a good player, strong, good finisher, would probably get you promoted but I can't see him being any kop in the Prem.
He's fine where he is. Thank you.
RT @ianprior: Major - and boy do I mean it - football exclusive coming up on guardian.co.uk sometime around 5.30.
Richard Keys resigns
Who will it be?
It's a hell of a smokescreen, has to be said.
so it might just be an interview with someone who doesn't talk to the press much.
or maybe what creaky says vvvvv
And haven't they just got a load of accounts details on tax evasion?
Imagine they nailed blatter #icandreamcantI
on whether footballers prefer HTC's or iphones.
I'm guessing that it's something like a club being sold.
But things like that seem to just leak out through stock market, foreign press etc, doesn't seem like the sort of thing you could trail an exclusive for.
That said the Guardian have Daniel Taylor and David Conn in Manchester so if something like that was happening they'd have a good shout of being first on it.
it would be a shit 'exclusive' but I suspect this bloke is just angling for more Twitter followers
It is important, though, cos Holloway threatened to resign if they were fined.
when the Premier League has insisted upon clubs naming a 25 man squad which makes this a different case to the Wolves one I would have thought. I also seem to remember that that team gave a very good account of themselves.
due to the summer heat in Qatar.
the Guardian has the first interview.
again, not sure that would count as a major exclusive
the only one i can think of that would be a genuine earth shaking transfer would be messi leaving barca
it'll be a real bid for rooney or tevez or drogba
though it did catch me out, as i've been playing fm2009 solidly for the last fortnight or so and have a strange alternate reality going on.
something shit happens, fuck it, i can just load up the previous saved game and do it again. alas...
p.s. i don't do this on FM, obviously
But I confess to replaying our final game of the season 8 times until I got the result I wanted. We were playing Wigan and won each time, but I wanted Watford to take points off Arsenal so Wigan (who I suppotr IRL) stayed up. EIGHT TIMES :(
that rule is my least favourite thing ever
If they're registered in a 25 man squad they're good enough to play in the eyes of the league surely

This has ruined my day."
Seriously, whoever approved this needs to be fired. The person who wrote it needs to be fired and The Guardian need to dedicate tomorrow's front page to a sincere apology.

This is what Andy Gray calls Gareth Bale off air: Gay-Ruth Bale.
Anyone? Aw. Fine."
This is abuse of Twitter (In BOLD)
Fu*king shame on you Guardian.....no longer following you by the way.
I suppose you think this is some kind of performing art...well its f**king not.
Ye are a joke!

This is unacceptable reporting from the Guardian. I, clearly like my fellow commentators above me, demand a full and frank public inquiry into how a story like this could have the termerity to grace the free pages of a free internet site.
How dare you force me to read this so called story, and now, in a bid to waste even more of my time, force me to comment.
I knew the standards had slipped when I read another story I wasn't intersted in but decided to read and then comment anyway, but using football as a headline grabber is particularly disgraceful.
Yours in disgust.
Bale --> Inter!
FUCKING SO GLAD I KEPT F5'ING.
in a few months, oh cool cheers
and heaps of credit.
What a desperate little wanker.
they quote not one source, no evidence behind it whatsoever. JFC
It's about as exclusive as one of the speculative transfer posts in these football threads - working out was is likely and the pros and cons.
They were spot on with the Ronaldo to Madrid story and the tone of this story is pretty similar. It's definitely more than just speculation.
they're absolutely right, and as soon as the season's over Inter put in a £40m bid, that really really really doesn't make it a MAJOR EXCLUSIVE today.
If Spurs had accepted it,or given some indication that they would, then it might be, I guess. As it is he devotes half the article to how Real Madrid might get involved.
EXCELLENT PLAYER AT FINANCIALLY SAVVY CLUB WHO MAY NOT GET IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE NEXT SEASON WILL PROBABLY ATTRACT BIDS IN SUMMER*
It's a perfectly reasonable rumour, trailing it as any more than that is pathetic.
It's scandalous is what it is.
I genuinely thought she was topless and using just the scarf to cover her boobs. I must say, that made me laugh.
Why are we loaning so many players to Leyton Orient? Is it so they'll cooperate with our bid to take over the Olympic Stadium? Yes, properly.
Oh God, it's all going wrong.
to the same club i guess.
Charlie Daniels etc? Thought it was something of an unofficial parent/feeder link
in exchange for a pre-season friendly there every year. Not sure there's anything as formal as that in place anymore, but there are no doubt behind-the-scenes connections between the two clubs still. That said, I don't remember us sending that many of our players on loan there all at once before. Maybe it's just coincidence.
To be honest, I probably wouldn't have even thought of it if it weren't for an article I read somewhere the other day about being caught between a rock and a hard place - on the one hand, he wants to kick up a fuss about the possibility of us being granted tenancy at the Olympic Stadium; on the other, he doesn't want us to stop sending Leyton Orient our most promising youngsters.
Sweetener for Cahill's departure? Much-needed bolstering of the squad? Complete bullshit? WHO KNOWS...
