how often do you change the razor?
when the blue line on them goes light green!
probably do about 5/6 shaves with one of those 3 blade disposable things.
I had some Wilkinson sword quattro ones which lasted ages, like months at a time. But the current Wilkinson Quattro titanium ones I've got have only lasted a few weeks.
You just know when they're dead though, they're clogged with hair and blunt as hell. If you're starting to get a load of nicks and cuts, 99% of the time it's because the razor's gone as blunt as hell.
Blunt as hell.
I'm thinking of upgrading from my Mach 3 Super Turbo Edition.
dispoables are so shit. plus, they hurt my face. so much so that i hardly ever bother to shave as a result.
i've just switched back from disposables which i used to just chuck after one shave.
i've gone all old school shaving - have a brush and a shaving soap dish and all that shit
I used to shave once a day, and I'd replace the blade every two weeks or so.
I normally have a full shave (all off) on a sunday night and then once in the week, either full or just the 'tache area (the '.5').
*They work fine for me for a couple of shaves - as well as any handle + blade arrangement, but ymmv.
As gunslinger mentioned above Wilkinson sword quattro are the tools for the job and come highly recommended.
I wonder if by the time I'm an oap, I'll be shaving with seven blades???
the mind boggles at the wonders of the future.
"WE WILL NOT ADD ANY MORE BLADES" or something similar. I think they've realised the rise in blades is not infinitely sustainable, so they're having to change tack.
we'd end up with razors about as long as a Wza post.
and changed the blade every 3 days.
I have now seen the light and grown a mountain-man beard.
Razor blades are silly expensive.
I should have said below, I generally shave every other day/3 times in the week, none at weekends.
So 3 months = 40-50 shaves for me.
I use a plain mach3.
Razors don't get clogged unless they're disposable/aren't looked after properly.
Once I figure I probably should. Same with toothbrushes. They're usually pretty knackered by the time I get a new one.
Not as soon as the strip goes white like the ads say though. That doesn't usually take a fortnight.
If I was to guess, every 3 months. I've never had a razor stop working.
but these days they seem to last forever. Literally months at a time.
usually when the lil green strip is done, perhaps once or twice a month
mach 3 turbo, aloe vera gel and nivea sensitive lotion, mmm bop
which is probably less often than I should.
for those who've used both that and whatever the latest Wilkinson Sword effort is called, how do they compare?
Also, what's that King of Shaves razor like, any good? The blades seem pretty reasonable.
it was okay but I quickly reverted back to my Gillette Fusion
after what I got to put my chin threw today I got a feeling I'm going to get one shave out of it. But usually they last me about 3 weeks
i have thick, tough hair.
I still use twin blades, and hope I never have to upgrade to triples. More than two baldes is ridiculously excessive. I've even seen a five blade razor. WTF?
if you count the lone blade on the back
