I'm mostly reading up on employment law and keeping a cold at bay. What are you up to?
Also considering buying breakfast, had to leave early today so didn't get any at home. I'm thinking about getting a croissant and some fruit.
I was going back to work today, but my colleague said not to. Hooray!
1) that you feel well enough to go back to work; 2) your colleague thinks you should stay at home anyway!
Actually, I do feel exhausted- so I wouldn't have been doing much if I had have gone in. And my colleagues aren't nice, they just don't want my germs.
I'm feeling rather miserable today for various reasons. Today I will mainly be watching TV/pretending to do some work and then tonight popping to the shops to return some shoes which I thought were nice but in fact are really really revolting.
Like they look normal from above, but have swastikas on the sole or something?
then when I got home and put them on with something I was like "ewwww what was I thinking?" and have been repulsed by them ever since.
nearly 2 weeks in to the new job and I still haven't been given any work to do!
Was at work till 7.30pm yesterday printing off stuff for my portfolio. Feeling a little bit better about it now the donkey work is done, but still sporadically sick. Afterwards, I went out to a quiz. It was pretty disappointing, for a variety of reasons, though my name "Linford Quiztie" did get the biggest laugh of the night.
and a new guy at work who came along was like: "Can't we do something different but on the same theme?" and spent two minutes trying to come up with a pun, and I was just like "Linford Quiztie", and he was like "Whoa!", and I was like "I know."
Also stole 'Quiz On My Face' from our usual quiz once and used it in a free quiz that happened to be starting in another pub we were in. Turned out it wasn't really the same kind of quiz, and no one laughed.
In brief... still occasional texts, quite a few emails at work, but no real opportunities for progession. I know I have to invite her to something a deux - I'll see what I can do for this weekend. She was pretty astonishing at the dingbats last night. Which is pretty hot.
For example, for the fourth one there, "oholene", the answer is "hole in one".
Obviously, I was rubbish at them.
The first two are pretty easy, just say what you see!
It's a bit of a trick, because it's not really an exclamation mark, it's actually an upside-down "i" which should make things easier...
I've heard of a Roman blind. I'm not really up on my internal window coverings admittedly.
The others are "Syrup" and "Odds on favourite", if anyone cares.
odds on favourite
Probably would've got "hole in one" if I'd had a chance to think about it before I saw the answer, but would never have gotten "turned a blind eye" because it looks like an exclamation point to me.
I was the person arguing the toss about tainted love not being an Soft Cell song originally, having seen a musicn board thread recently about songs you might not realise were covers.
I was recently faced with the question 'True or false: all polar bears are left handed' and didn't know what to put down cos I didn't know whether they themselves would be right or wrong. I put down the right answer, they called out the wrong answer, I decided not to alert them to their inaccuracy as we weren't going to win anyway.
Nothing to report (as per).
eating some chocolate brownie bits
doing some reading
listening to pavement
I got called a twat on the bus this morning. I am a twat but he had no reason to suspect this, so I feel hard done by. Also as I confronted him about it I now have the horrible "post confronting someone when you hate doing it" feeling.
but this time destroying him with your rapier wit?
Which I did mention in out little tete to tete
and I turned around and asked if it was directed at me, when he confirmed it was I suggested he say it to my face which he declined to do. So not only did I totally fail to have any wit whatsoever, but also did come across as a bit of a twat.
Why do these things always happen to me?
She's visited the forum. This is the best day EVER.
amazing! How? Did someone link her?
Shucks! This is the best day ever! I'm so happy! I hope she signs up and says how much she loves me!!
WHY AM I ON THE INTERNET
IT SECRETLY PLANS YOUR DOWNFALL.
I am off to see a David Byrne documentary and Q+A.
what colour should i wear today?
guess i don't see why i should think that today could have been any different.
I'm going to get sushi grade fish for sushi and then go to a museum with the gf.
Or the other way round. Havn't decided.

My 4-a-side team beat my work team last night - bragging rights
Other results went against us though, so we can't retain the league.
My flatmate is making chilli tonight. If it's as good as his other cooking I'm in for a treat. He's also caught up with me on The Wire, so I can get going with that again. Good times
Today I woke up at noon with some Begian and Dutch people in my room, made them tea, then they aughed at me for drinking milk in tea, then we walked to a cafe and met a Finnish gir and had lunch, then I went to the supermarket cause an Austrian friend invited himsef over for tea tonight and I invited a coupe of germans to make it ess awkward... every time I go I try to guess how mich its gonna cost. Today I was only 12 euros under.hmmmmm
So that's a good Thursday. Also, my costume for the Mad Men party I'm going to at the weekend is now complete. Otherwise not done a lot. Thinking of suing DiS for timetheft.
by listing advertising campaigns I like and have planned an elaborate QR code treasure hunt as part of my 'challenge'.
I do not know what the challenge is going to be. THIS BETTER NOT BE IN VAIN!
I spent 8 hours doing a new website in the hope it'll help with getting freelancing jobs and I've got loads of stuff to do today, I'm stressed. They should just give me the job, yeah?
I'm afraid I'm going to need you to give me quite a lot of money and also pay for a car, tax and insurance and driving lessons cos that bus and train journey everyday isn't too appealing. Cheers.
