Boring Excel question
Only asking here, cos I wasn't sure how to phrase it for googling.
My colleague wanted to check for text in a cell and if it's present, copy some other text to another cell.
e.g. If there's some text in E2, copy A1.
But it just so happens, the text that she's checking for is the word 'TRUE'.
So I came up with =IF(E1="TRUE", A1, "")
But this formula won't work. If I replace 'TRUE' with 'YES' or any other text, works fine.
Is that because 'TRUE' is a reserved word?
Can I get round it?
