but i can't find an ol pirate online and guarantee it won't be on in Dublin. Oy vey.
(I still downloaded it last night)
and jen from dawsons creek bonus
might just be indie bullshit.
Gosling and Williams are both great actors so I want to see this.
and maybe because the spotify ad made it sound like it had a good soundtrack
although a tough watch at times. Michelle Williams is outstanding.
Ryan Gosling is mesmerising as usual, Ed Droste/Grizzly Bear soundtrack. Lovely fuzzy look, really sad.
No-one will be saying its twee after they've seen particular scenes in hotels + hospitals
*runs towards the woods giggling hysterically*
but i'm a sucker for this sort of shit.
something like...'a struggling and depressed writer moves back to his parents and small town life, when he meets a local nurse and falls in love'....etc etc etc
and i was all....MAN I'M FUCKING WATCHING THAT.
all i neeed is a low-budget american film with an angsty male and a love interest that will either make or break him, and i'm away.
you ARE that low-budget american film.
we all are.
you couldn't make it up, right down to the font.
and you know i'll watch it and then be all, 'man, i wish i could meet a liv tyler...where's my liv tyler'
and it's all quite pathetic. i might just not watch it now. yeah....fuck you buscemi.
But it sounds like I'm equally as big a sucker for this shit as you.
That post was bang on.
You got going with any of the horrendously named "mumblecore" films yet? I WANT THOSE PEOPLE'S LIVES AND RELATIONSHIPS
suprisingly, i didn't really get that...'god, i want that'...type feeling with any of them.
although i'm scared about watching greenberg for the second time because i think my love for greta gerwig in that might overpower and destroy me.
My new years resolution should really have been to stop falling in love with fictional characters.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1294161/ Is my most recent example of the above.
the irony is, we probably wouldn't like these girls in real life....it's probably just some desperate kick we get from seeing these people in the unreality of film world and then allowing ourselves to drown in the perfect fantasy of it all.
men are pathetic.
but then, girls do this sorta shit for R-PaTz, i'm sure.
Sam from Garden State would be so effing annoying in the real world but in the confines of Zach Braff's Shins soundtracked world I'm besotted.
Wendy and Lucy is one of the most heartbreaking performances/films I've ever seen
