I'd have to give it another watch though, it's been a while.
1990 - present
I remember Paul Gambaccini did "DC Comics" once which isn't very specific but whatever.
(trick is every answer is anal)
better luck on the general knowledge round
(Reporting for duty)
Semi-Final: Life and works of Franz Kafka
Final: History of Parliament
bunch of giver uppers but then subservience is on trend
but you get quizzed on your chosen texts, so for atopic like history of parliament (on which a lot has been written) you are not expected to know it all. I already know quite a lot about it and I find its a lot easier to remember facts when they relate to something I'm really interested in.
Although someone actually had this as their chosen subject in February last year. They did pretty well; got one i didn't, although I got one they passed on (the answer was something to do with Jerry ditching a girl because she ate her peas one at a time).
So unless I get really good with something else, I'm in trouble. I know a fair amount about The Famous Five Enid Blyton books, maybe them.
or even one episode can't you?
I guess if it was just one episode, they'd ask you stuff like "what colour was georges coat?"
answer probably: dark green.
The only time I've seen them narrow it down that much was when Sonia off Eastenders chose a particular season of Sex and the City, but I figured they only let her do that because she's a) a celebrity and b) thick.
The Life & Works of Yukio Mishima. If we're going with ones that'd probably be accepted.
I reckon I could make a pretty good go of The Philippine - America War, too.
There was a mix up and they asked me questions about tje occult. It was bad but I still won a radio clyde mug and a teddy.
Lesbians in popular culture
Would have to buff (heh) up on The Cure post-Wish.
only affirms my thoughts in the 'how do you keep up with stuff in the world' thread
Dinosaur Jr. or Guided by Voices mibby
I have a feeeling it might be knocked back. Bearsuit wasn't allowed.
an almost encyclopaedic knowledge
Round: NME (1990-1993)
Semi: Select (1992-1995)
Final: The Face (1994-1997)
I used to watch over and over and over as a kid. Like Return to Oz maybe.
I don't think you're allowed to be that specific though.
It'd defo be a TV series or film cos it's more fun 'revising' them before you go on.
