I plan to drink a lot and take whatever anyone gives me.
there are no trains between 3:35am and 6:08am apparently. LOL
Are their 'Keep Quiet' signs painted on, or are they removable?
You'll have to chip away a section of the wall.
I call dibs on the mirrorball in the toilets.
In the men's toilets?
What are they going to do, bar me?
Forced fun shite surrounded by drink once a year and make twats of themselves cunt faces
I fucking hate new years because of this reason!
although he's spending it in Venice :(
I can't because I have EXAMS.
But with the trains / enthusiasm situation I might stay in playing Lord of the Rings online and eating Chery Bakewells. Or buy an X-Box with the money saved and play Oblivion and whilst taking speed
Its been pretty good on the thursdays I've been up but ... I don't know if I can be bothered.
Or maybe Jazzy Kex in Blackburn. YOU HEARD! JAZZY KEX!
In fact, we may go to this on boxing day as a consolation prize- http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/event.php?eid=124512720945505
and didn't get a response, ergo, you're a twat.
so mibby he doesn't know?
I have news.
Did you nail the nurse? Is the nurse pregnant? If so, what did Hannah* say about it?
*some names have been changed to protect the innocent
I knew something was going on with you and that nurse.
SHE IS NOTHING TO YOU
She isn't like a normal nurse anyway. She's a midwife.
JBHR and get it over with pls.
mtfu & jbhr
I just want you to be happy.
with about 25 others and when we're there looking round an old abandoned castle. FUN!
(and very sad to be missing SS)
Probably have a few people over for drinks, and end up watching nu-metal and pop punk videos on youtube as usual.
you up for that?
you got it from that thread! Don't know who you are pal.
this is maybe going to be my new account from 2011. just wearing it in, see how it feels.
No I'm sticking in Witho, you're more than welcome down there though (10 mins on the bus)
haven't seen you in FOREVER.
Train fare over is nothing adam! (cheaper than a night out in leeds at any rate) x
i'll keep you posted on if i'm making the trip over. i'm about 80% set on the idea but will depend on funds after christmas.
Maybe light a fire before the sun comes up... tis gonna be cold!
end of sub thread
with the kids, probably to watch The Simpsons movie again and then be ushered out of the door at 12.02am.
my mum ushered me out at 11.59, and i had to wait outside in the snow for a few minutes to let the new year in.
that is genuinely sad.
Why did you have to leave? Surely it can't be for the only reason I can think of.
As I'd never heard of this tradition I could only think that his mum was sending him outside so she could "bring in" the new year in private.
The only tradition we have is to make sure everyone's glass is topped up.
a man is supposed to enter the house after the stroke of midnight or something, and bring coal in, or some silver. or something like that. my mam is very superstitious about it all, and one time she wouldn't let us leave the house until 3 hours after, when my neighbour had got back from a pub or something. he actually fell INTO the house, which i think is an excellent way to let the new year in.
She clearly hates you.
We sent our mate out the other year and you're meant to bring coal back in aren't you? He just brought a massive rock.
I have literally never heard of this.
and the tradition is you go outside, you're meant to bring a lump of coal back in to the house for luck of something. And wind all your clocks.
Why have I never heard of anyone doing this before?
And not overly chuffed about the fact
on new year's eve?
Indeed. I'm well pleased. The bride wanted it that day to have all her friends and family there with her to get drunk with, which is in itself not a terrible idea.
Sadly I'll only know 3 people there, and one of those will be getting hitched so not really too chatty.
like most years but this time sadly, alone. It usually consists of drinking, eating a load of cheese and watching jools holland. I may go into Romford for a bit though. I haven't decided.
but without the Romford bit.
NYE is a bit naff if you're not doing anything BIG and I never do anything BIG. I quite like staying in and eating a load anyway so I have no problem with doing it this year.
I'm a bad human being
I completely missed that the first time round.
Getting drunk at the Luminaire
My 30th birthday party IS the NYE thing at the Luminaire. My actual 30th birthday party is later. It's too cold today.
Were you born in Albert Square?
"What're" in any kind of communicae.
good struff. No awkward looking down at your shoes action in the smoking section then.
Might stay for Pop group action and then go to SOAS for some all nighter rave thingy
Sold our last tickets yesterday so pretty stoked. Hopefully, unlike the previous NYE parties I've put on I might remember some of it. On a self imposed champagne ban
could you ask the Luminaire if they mind us letting off party poppers?
If you'd rather not, don't worry about it.
at some point in the evening.
our Chief Executive DJed 'Never Forget' and we all turned round and danced at him during the chorus. It was sweet/emotional/cheesy.
I can stay in Glasgow and probably go to some lame night in Glasgow with my best pal and her other, lamer pals. Or I can go to Leeds, try to convince my boyfriend to go out, and fail as he has a fucked leg and lives in Castleford. Hard choices.
always good at new year.
As long as the train is running. Later, losers.
He's a nasty little sod
dunno what im doing yet though
With tears in my eyes
Hopefully I can find a leathery ponytailed DJ spinning euphoric Eurotrance, otherwise I am going to be so mad.
in brizzle. It's gonna be the nizzle yizzle shizzle. Or something. I'm cool.
will no doubt be shite anyway, spent with people I'd rather not be with.
Might just be 'ill' and go to bed at 9.
in a fancy house, getting spannered and eating haggis.
