Does this sound dodgy to anyone? (tax-repayment centric)
I contacted 'taxback4students.com' regarding tax i could possibly reclaim whilst working on placement, and got the following reply;

Thank you for your email.
Tax Assessment Results
I have looked at the figures and can confirm that you are due a tax repayment in the amount of £323.10. This has arisen as you have paid excessive tax relative to the income you have earned in the current tax year 2010/11.
Before I can complete my assessment I need to know what your intentions are now that your placement has come to an end i.e. will you go back into full time university or will you seek a part time job whilst at university? Please advise.
I can confirm that if you go back to university full time without any part time jobs immediately then we can apply for the tax repayment now.
My fee for obtaining the refund on your behalf is 10% of the repayment amount which is £32 with the remaining £291.10 plus interest due to you.
Moving Forward
I will need to send out a form which you will need to sign and send back to me. Once I have the form I will be able to complete all necessary paperwork and have the claim sent into HMRC for processing.
HMRC usually return the funds within a 6-8 week period.
If all the above is in order please let me know your address so I can send out the form for your attention.
Any queries please let me know.
Regards,
Jay

I was a bit hesitant with the name of the site anyway to give certain deals, but wanting 10% of my repayment seems a bit much? Can't I just fill this form in myself?
Has anyone used this service before?
