Hoped i'd seen the last of that fat, frosty-tipped sex pest.
My current housemate worked at Tiger Tiger in Newcastle as a barmaid a few years back. The entire Australian cricket team were there for some post-match drinks (I assume they were playing at Chester-le-Street), and Warney proceeded to chat her up and offer her his hotel room key. He wanted her to go back and wait for him there. She threw the key away.
He saw in a club a member of England's batting line up grinding a girl with a very obvious boner in his shorts.
He tried to take a photo but a mate of said player clocked him and threatened to lamp him. With due cause really.
but it was Ravi Bopara
not on here, anyway. maybe on coaltalk.
I know it's not looking good for the Aussies at the moment but surely they're not that desperate yet.
and in Sydney morning Herald apparently although just Fitzsimmons' wishful thinking.
"Warne is currently in England filming segments for his variety television show due to air in Australia this summer."
Firstly, no he isn't, he's in Australia commentating on the Ashes series for Sky last I saw. Secondly, someone gave Shane Warne a variety show?
From what I've read he can't interview for shit.
On just about every level. For a start, Australian problems run far deeper than the lack of a decent spin option.
Some people suggested he might come back and save them from their current plight, he's called it "flattering". A 41 year old who hasn't played a first class match for two and a half years is going to be thrust into the middle of a losing Ashes series? Righto.
but he's not stupid (when it comes to cricketing matters. Other stuff, he's definitely). Who would risk the damage to their reputation by coming out of a three year retirement and getting battered by the English at home?
He stated pretty categorically during commentary that he is too old to play test cricket
this is even more fanciful.
And The Oval was 'his' ground.
even if they manage to win. Who is going to step in, Clarke? they don't seem to have many options, when 5 years ago there wasn't a player there who wouldn't have been a candidate.
Australia being shit at any sport is a completely new experience for me, i love it.
but he's not even in the squad. They do not want Clarke it seems.
