Does any ever sentence in the English language attract as much disdain, contempt and people pretending they can't hear you as much as this one?

I HAD to say it this morning and when I was greeted with the usual commuter pretending they were oblivious to it all I had to crank it up a notch with "Oi you with the paper, either move down or get out the way". That's right, single someone out and they can't pretend it's not directed at them.
