Gonna try going cold turkey. Any help from ex-smokers, apart from 'don't smoke.'
Running is shit if you smoke regularly but a proper run is great stuff.
but I would say take up a new hobby - something which occupies your times (and hands) to stop you thinking about smoking so much.
then you can smoke when you like.
if you feel like having one, tell yourself "I'll wait 5 mins then have one", usually the craving has gone by then, or your mind wanders onto something else.
get a cold from someone and preferably a sore throat
Do patches/gums and the like work? I think give it an hour and I'm going to be absolutely dying for one.
i used to smoke 30 a day, read the book....got to the last page and stopped dead. you will surely crack on will power alone. using gum patches seems to defeat the object, the idea is to remove nicotine from one's system.
I did the same. Coming up to 3 years of no cigs with only one minor discretion in that time.

This method also means you can carry on smoking until you've finished the book.

It worked for me, and I never visited EASYCLINIC. I think that's just the bollocks intro to the book or something.
