In the snow, as some kind of manly contest thing.
I haven't even WALKED outside today.
the least enjoyable passtime short of stabbing yourself in the eye.
The craziness of their antics fucked with my literacy, clearly
are these people CRAZY?
You = boringly average.
pour examplai, you cant even touch your toes
i can run really far and fast without stopping.
as opposed to well rounded or general fitness
cardivascular fitness and endurance are a part tho. good job
oh wait, it's DiS. Of course we do.
the sign for doesn't equal/not equal to is !=
? is the symbol
!= is for programming. my bad.
Unicode 2260 apparently, who'd have thunk it.
at least get it RIGHT!
also a programmer :(
that's fine then!
you're the one fighting with dood about being fit ;)
it's been a LONG time since I took maths.
that's a good picture of you though, dood.
in an attempt to cope with the rogue apostrophe...
Quite the mental image.
This is clearly causing more bother than I had anticipated :(
I'd like some trained jaguar's though, sounds like a larf.
You could sick them on any apostrophe pedant's who came your way.
(I feel dirty now, I think I might have to go and throw up or turn all the lights on and off an even number of times or something).
Let me just find my monie's and I can go and buy some of these exotic cat's for my own personal amusement. Il'l set them on an'yone who dare's to contra-dict my own unique grammAr useage
waited at least until the pavement were clear - you don't want to trip up.
If its part of your routine and it calms you down, it feels horrible not doing it.
...doing a karate kata with a pair of sai swords barefoot in only his karate suit. I suspect that were the weather not so lousy he probably would have stayed indoors
it wasn't cold at all after I ran a little and the walk back was actually surprisingly nice due to the fact I was warmed up.
Feeling cold is for the weak
We're people too
but it is largely mental over the physical side.
I wouldn't say it's mental in that I think it's cold, therefore it is, but more than if I thought "Yeah it's cold, so what?" and then went and did stuff anyway then it'd affect me less.
or if he is, I very much didn't get it.
Seems more like he's saying "You only feel cold if you think you are, it's not a physical reaction".
Just how much is the question
UNLESS you had a very highly trained mind.
Otherwise he's talking crap.
to think of something warm to keep themselves going? Right after they've tried DIGGING THE FUCK OUT OF THERE first though.
Ok, so you couldn't make yourself warm through your mind alone, but maybe you could be *less cold*?
kind of seems like Chris was saying he doesn't feel cold AT ALL though, but that may be true. He does walk like a crab so who knows what other functions he has.
I think if you're buried in snow you're actually fairly warm as it works as insulation to an extent (sort of), like being in an igloo.
Getting lots of snow for my room so I'll be warmer.
You better not be leading me on here ...
I'm pretty sure it insulates you to some extent but I don't know much so you may just end up with frostbite.
anyway, that's not what I was saying at all......If you go outside and think 'oh god it's going to be freezing' then you'll notice it more etc etc, but if you go out as normal and get the fuck over it and think of other things or just carry on with your daily routine then you'll feel better. I do it all the time when I'm out in the cold.
This is bollocks.
I think to an extent you can 'ignore' the cold and therefore feel a little less cold but I don't think you can stop yourself feeling cold altogether just by using your mind.
If you're keeping active obviously you'll be warmer so this is most likely what's happening rather than his mind banishing the cold feeling.
I walk like a human.
and t-shirt (no jacket) just the other day. It was about -1 at the time.
has been wearing a tiny vest with a big hat with ear flaps around the place. Ugh.
1) Run on fresh snow wherever possible.
2) Wear offroad shoes if you have any. inov8 do a good selection - obviously, this doesn't help if you want to run now!
3) There's generally less traffic around so don't be afraid to run on the road if it's been properly gritted.
4) If you hit ice, slow to walking pace!
my estate will be in touch if this proves in any way ill-advised =D
I have no assets.
however due to the impacted snow my gait was 60% more Really Determined Newborn Giraffe than usual. Undignified.
'favourite running conditions' are not part of my life. On the other hand I am hideously unhealthy.
and I plan on just sitting on the sofa and blobbing out rather than indulging in any cycle based exercise currently.
