Whats the worst thing you've ever lost and how?
by being too delicate
but the one thing of my dad's. It was a little gold guitar chain thingy, I know it sounds pretty gay. Anyway, for variosu reasons that's all I have of his and I had to put up a bit of a fight to get it and I decided one day to move it somewhere safer than the place I'd had it for years and now I think it's vanished.
I feel so guilty! Like when you get trusted to look after something for the first time when you're younger then you fuck it up somehow.
Plan of action = never think about how much of a douche I am
lost my passport, haven't reported it and it's been about 8 months now. Still hopelessly hoping it turns up.
Lost my phone a few weeks back too, but a kind chap got it back to me.
And eventually got it handed back to me by a barmaid during a gig soundcheck. Weird no?
But no more than that.
1) Try mastering on 10pound headphones
2) I like my music to sound... good
Filmed it on a camcorder I'd bought a couple of years earlier for ~£500. Recorded it on a £200 Mini-Disc player I'd bought 3 years earlier. Too photos on a £250 digital camera I'd bought 8 months before.
I put them all in the camera bag then dropped it getting into the cab home. Ooh yeah. That wasn't a fun night.
Plus side: the night my bag containing my iRiver (£300ish) and Sony laptop (£1000) was next to my wife's handbag containing her ageing PAYG phone and an almost empty wallet. Some theif decided to take her bag. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
I've left my wallet on an arcade machine in Porthcawl once. It had no money in but cause me great inconvenience.
I once jumped into a swimming pool in St. Lucia with an MP3 player in the back pocket of my shorts. That was an expensive mistake.
I didn't realised you had to move it around.
I just put it in and lay there motionless for a couple of minutes.
New thread, how do you best replace a pair of £150 earphones without paying that much again?
Mine's covers items lost outside.
£50 excess. Replace like for like.
Get the cheapest policy you can (£10 a month or so probably).
Wait a month.
Claim for new headphones.
Can you wait 6-8 weeks for new 'phones?
Popped out at lunch and got a middling pair which will tide me over. Hoping for a massive christmas bonus or something.
This should most definitely prompt me to get contents insurance though
That was quite annoying. I had to wait until everyone had left before I could hunt them down.
then I walked out of the crowd and oops, no shoes. I'm sure it happens a lot.
Although that explanation does make a lot more sense. I was picturing that you'd taken them off upon entry like you were visiting a nan or something.
That would be a bit odd if I took them off when entering the venue. They'd be a good thing to hold up if you were looking for someone. you know some people wave or hold up a brolly. I'd hold up my shoes.
It's also odd that my mind defaulted to that as my assumption of what had happened.
at any gigs I go to.
If they get in my line of sight, I will also try to punch the crowd surfer in the groin/genitals. Just a tap. Don't want them spewing.
I don't want that many people touching and grabbing me at one time. I think it would be the stuff of nightmares.
And have been kicked and kneed in the head too many times for me to take it lightly any more.
People who stage dive or crowd surf are cunts in my opinion (this includes people in bands) and I'll fuck with them if they come within arms length of me or any of my mates.
Forget what he paid but they aren't cheap.
He left it on the bus on the way home from the guy's house, never saw it again.
He never got to play it properly.
The sinking feeling as he realised, urgh. At least I had a couple of wonderful years with my 'phones. Losing something directly after purchase is ridiculously careless
Bag of mixed salad
I was very disappointed that nobody handed it in.
