I wish more bands would play in small theatres, all seated, and put on a bit of a show.
I think they call them "stage musicals" but i'm not sure.
Hey no but seriously bands should play more in theatres.
WOT A STOOPID THREAD
though would you count this as a venue? it's a church, but it holds gigs.
lovely though innit
saw no bra! at the tate britain once, and art brut.
squat parties. bird hide at a reservoir.
- Liars in a cinema in Soho; it was great, and then they showed 'Loose Change'
- Lexie Mountain Boys in a clock tower in Hackney (hip)
- I saw Bearsuit at some strange family-day-in-the-park thing (this was almost like a festival so probably doesn't count)
Seen stuff in an art gallery, church and cathedral. And a few house gigs. I was gutted I missed the gig in the observatory but then not really cos I'd rather be using the observatory to look at the stars.
Just normal venues are fine with me, the sound is usually pretty abysmal otherwise.
In the middle of another group’s guerrilla gig
Well surely that’s the ultimate guerrilla gig
But still they cried like girls
other than those mentioned, I've seen gigs on beaches (Grizzly Bear), in Embassies (British Sea Power) and in an old Fire Station (Wavves).
