morning all... you up to much this weekend?
got a quietish weekend for the first time in ages. Looking forward to it, especially since work's been so busy (and will continue to be so for the next few weeks).
I'm off home to see some folks from way back, but have got to persuade myself to run first. It's freezing out there. I need some Rollins-style motivation...
my jumper's okay
A colleague's 30th on Saturday might be alright. Also, I only have 12 episodes of the West Wing left - I might do it all this weekend in a democracy binge.
I have a weird pain sort of going round my stomach and chest. Worryingly, it seemed this morning to originate in my balls. Couple with a cold I have brought back as a souvenir from abroad, and I do not feel great.
Misfits was good last night though.
(hope it goes away, obvs)
The ball ache thing is probably psychosomatic hypochondria.
I'm not even registered with a doctor or a dentist here, even after 13 months. I should probably do something about that.
I've had to cancel my spin class because of cystitis, and it not being a risk worth taking that I'd be walking like a cowboy for the rest of the year.
I haven't had any issues with the bike/balls before. This is far too much information, but I went to the doctors about 18 months ago regarding some pain down there (only felt after I thought I noticed things I shouldn't have noticed). They assured me I was fine, and nothing has changed, but the hypochondriac in me has never quite shaken the feeling that something ain't quite right. I should probably find a new doctor and go see. Serious issue and all that.
I'm going to regret all this when it turns out to be wind.
I'm going to google cystitis now.
mate, it's worth getting stuff checked out, esp if it's anything to do with the baby tackle.
Sorry for making you out to be a peado.
Cystitis doesn't sound fun. Interesting list of potential causes though...
(Although I haven't had a good fart in a while).
This is all TMI. Must be Friday!
In all seriousness, it probably is just trapped wind. I get it all the time. Its like shooting pains in your chest, stomach and sometimes back/shoulders. Try drinking some hot water/peppermint tea. If the problem persists, go see a doctor.
Your diagnosis may yet prove correct.
Try to drink it as hot as you can. It'll get things moving.
I'll think about it.
I'm over yesterday's shock of a bug in my pistachio nut, you'll be delighted to hear.
Tonight: MASSIVELY nowt much.
Tomoz: MASSIVELY going to a gallery or two, then Buck65 + HolyFuk (if there are any tix)
Sun: MASSIVELY seeing Phantom Band.
no money. no friends.
i'll most probably stay in and watch 'bright star' until i start weeping.
'safetywink' OR have you worked it out yet?
and not really, supposed to go to NCT sale tomorrow if I can be bothered to battle the preggos and then nothing planned
Then I think I'm going for a curry on Brick Lane tonight - not done that in TIME
Tomorrow is an early start for rugby, followed by international rugby on the telly - really not looking forward to Ireland's demolition by the All Blacks
Sunday I'll probably go to see Harry Potter.
Is it ok to combine Friday morning post and Weekend post. Wasn't sure of the etiquetee, but I can't be doing with two seperate posts
I'm thinking of going to the Napoleon III album launch thingy tonight - depends how knackered I feel come 10pm. Other than that, not much. We might go to the cinema at some point, maybe to see Let Me In, not sure though.
I don't have a football match to go to tomorrow. I found this somewhat distressing, so I decided to get Tesco to deliver a new bed frame instead.
Or are you not so fussed about that side of things?
You are getting married to someone aren't you?
well done. RIDDLE SOLVED.
called "meowington's gonna work it out".. where meowington solves the riddles of the world. the theme tune will be based on the "brothers gonna work it out" refrain from that chemical brothers song.
if I weren't more interested in deliberately reading ambiguity into everything that everybody says.
OOOO. IT'S LIKE A RIDDLE!
Although tbf, this is only the second one I have solved in my life.
He lands on the ground completely unharmed. How did he do this?
Actually I've got a load of reviews to do and got to write an article on Half Life 1 for a games site my mate has set up SO THAT PROBABLY and I might start Halo Reach campaign. The fun never stops.
worst website ever
Its not been a good start to the day due to the following:
- Woke out of a lovely dream this morning and straight into some serious leg cramp.
- I dyed my hair last night and its unintentionally gone a grey/browny/blondey colour which is not good.
- Someone in work has completely gone behind my back causing a ton of agg for me this morning. I am in a very very bad mood because of it.
ON A BRIGHTER NOTE; I have a 2nd date tomorrow with an incredibly nice man and I am quite excited.
What kind of nut job wears a pair of dungarees AND a skirt?
I have a maroon & grey stripey jumper. I don't know how gay it is. It has maroon elbow patches, so probably not very.
Anyway, back to the point in hand: "theme day- Farmers and farm animals". WTF?
Beach House tonight in a Cathedral, then chill most of the weekend and then Titus Andronicus at Salford Lad's Club on Sunday.
They better not fucking do it before Sunday, though.
thought it was just Mazes playing. Either way, all good as it's bound to be a great gig.
not entirely sure I can be arsed though. The rest of the weekend will involve me watching football, playing Football Manager, or some combination of the two.
It's been a long long week. I'm predicting a weekend of being in bed. I am being cooked a surprise dinner on Saturday, which will contain lots of surprises, and I will be SURPRISED. I'll have to get up on Sunday at some point because my former trainee and his fiancee are going to be in our neck of the woods and so we will be doing some east end binge drinking and talking in loud scottish burrrrrs.
i don't know if there's an acronym for 'weak chuckle with silence after it'
fablad, but that makes FAB LAD and is less maudlin.
i'm working tomorrow
i'm going to that london tomorrow night to the lexington for a friend's going away do. i am not vikram.
i'm working sunday.
interviewing a few agents, which is minimum hassle as you can just ask them quick questions and they'll ramble for hours.
I am figuring out my christmas shopping masterplan, gradually, and I'm quite happy with how it's looking so far.
1. Mushroom logs
I'm surrounded by the things.
zzzzzzzzzz i hate writing them
Friends over to the flat this evening, drinking.
My great uncle turns 90 tomorrow. Massive family gathering back in Maidstone. I'm going to meet a lot of people I never knew were related.
Sunday I have a 10k to run in Richmond. Not trained nearly enough for it, but should make it round without any problems.
I have Monday off work for my sky installation and delivery of 2 new beds which I ordered from a nutcase sales assistant in New Cross last night.
I've been asked to go review Plank but I know for a fact that beardy bastard mouusse is going so I think I'll decline.
Tomorrow might pop into the all dayer at The Castle, meet a friend for afternoon drinks then off to the Caribou/Four Tet WHP.
Sunday I think I'll make a nice lunch, then going to see Sun Araw and Zun Zun Egui at an afternoon gig then straight to Titus Andronicus at Salford Lads Club.
I am panicking that in there I have no time for sitting around in bed playing games and cuddling cats.
I always look forward to gigs more when there's bands we're friends with on the bill. Also very much looking forward to Jordan's improv set, if only because it might feature Roxette in there somewhere.
On the other hand I'm feeling a bit ill, which is rubbish. I'd recover tomorrow, but I've got band practice at midday. I plan on having a nice quiet evening after that, possibly watching some kind of film. I've not watched a film in ages, found I prefer drama series at the moment.
Sunday got band practice again, then the afternoon/evening off which will be used for lazing about and playing xbox.
A few birthday drinks for a mate tonight followed by playing football, watching football and then the Bavarian Beerhouse tomorrow for his actual proper birthday night out.
The amount i'm looking forward to each individual component of my weekend varies wildly.
They're bloody brilliant
The Union Chapel xmas show from last year had a few bits recorded for the bonus disk of Yeah So and sounded great, thats all I can offer there really :D

I haven't read the books but I bought the first one yesterday and have started it :D
you'll be able to get into it more that way.
I get a bit sad
you can do this.
tonight and tomorrow. Sunday is a day of rest.
