i have this thing with eggs, there's some white bits in them that are just so incredibly gross. disgusting.

my main problem with those things is that they look like tiny little umbilical cords. i obviously realise that this isn't actually the case, but i just find them so disgusting now that it doesn't really matter.
i started removing them pre-cooking a few years ago whenever i'd make scrambled eggs or an omelette (which is quite frequent). then i'd do the same if i was baking as well. now it's gone even further: when i boil an egg, i take a sharp little knife and cut the grossness out post-cooking. when i was frying an egg the other day i picked it out while the egg was in the pan.
so that's my main food neurosis: tiny little umbilical cord-looking things in eggs.
