Now on BBC Three.
First two series' were boss. I don't expect this to DiSappoint.
MISS LESS OF IT!
just saw who posted it.
First Him & Her, now this? It's watchable, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. What completely average thing will you throw your support behind next? Ford Mondeos? ("The fuel efficiency is impressive, and the ride comfort is very good.") Labradors? ("IMO, they do everything you could want a dog to do.") Mild cheddar? ("A nice cheese, especially with a bit of pickle in a sandwich").
BBC3 comedies (except Ideal) are not
Except about Ideal which I don't think I've ever watched.
The MOR of the canine world.
Mongrels are great.
Gets your opinion across clearly and passes comment on mine without being too scathing. ;-)
Nah, I just like silly/daft UK comedies like this, H'n'H, the Boosh. Not too brash and repetetive like Tate or L-Britain. Not pedestrian with ultra signposted gags like Dibley or Rev or whatever (or even US stuff that virtually explains the upcoming joke and then points it out afterwards, like Friends). I still like stuff like similar older stuff like Game On if I ever stumble across it in muti-channel nether-regions. I admit that there's stuff that creams it (Reeves & Mortimer or Look Around You or whatever) and that there's a bunch of US comedy I'd like but haven't properly tried (Curb for starters). And that I can't wait for S2 of Stew Lee's standup. I think Gavin & Stacey was brilliant too. But I can't for the life of me work out how anyone can spend the time required to enjoy drawn out US Drama serials or Sci-Fi or UK soaps or whatever. But, y'know, horses for courses - I'm not gonna claim HNTLYL is particularly clever or timeless, I just like stuff that makes me actuaLOL for a bit.
I actually quite like HNTLYL, I just thought I'd noticed an odd pattern in your viewing tastes. Have you watched the Trip? That had me LOLing last night.
It was properly brilliant last night.
I don't care that there's basically nothing to it - it's just two funny guys having a chat and being funny. Fine by me. Makes me want to go back and watch Coffee and Cigarettes.
