= sequels galore
I will not. It was boring and my bumb went numb.
this turned out to be an excellent plan.
- OMG 3D section: watched
- Lamo character development: ignored
- Robots VS dinosaurs and indians: watched
The 3D thing was good for 5 mins. I think I need to take a blankey and an eye mask to the cinema just incase I get that bored again.
Not blankey. Oh god that looks so pathetic.
(thats a baby voice)
The sequels will make a fortune.
still have not seen it and all i have heard that is good about it is the 3D animation.
The plot's pretty derivative though and the dialogue's little better than appalling.
awfully cheesey story and action scenes that have been done to death before. a vehicle for the novelty of 3D.
I saw it on re-release for the first time. On an Imax screen.
A feast for the eyes. Not a particularly noteworthy story.
are as visually impressive in 2014 as the first one was in 2009 people will hate them.
The 4th D being 'smell', courtesy of cinema attendents spraying aerosols (marked with things like 'forest glade', 'rusty spaceship' and 'soily smurf') into the faces of cinema goers. Expect to be charged £15 for the privilege.
the sequels are bound to be utter shit, though.
"whoever wins...we get bored to death for 3+ hours watching some blue people fight the greatest cinematic monster ever invented, who's reputation has been damaged due to shitty sequels and some dudes with dreadlocks who turn invisible."
"In 3D, no one can hear you SING"
"oversized Smurfs sticking their junk into space horses while bleating on about saving the planet."
Inevitable I suppose. First one was overrated meh - basically a rip of the cowboys taking the land from the Indians. Terrible acting though and *SPOILERZ* killing Ripley off halfway through was totally shit *END SPOILERZ*.
One of my friends went to see it five times at cinema. She's mental.
'a rip of the cowboys taking the lans from the indians'
its not a rip off, its how exploitation like that works...it was also repeated in other parts of the earth
Avatarred & Feathered
and as a big screen cinema experience (especially at the Imax) I thought it was pretty much unrivalled. I'm not that excited about the sequels but James Cameron is an incredible filmmaker so I'll deffo go and see them.
I've heard anyone say about Avatar is that the blue ladies are well hot.
Fucking Papyrus. Kept thinking I was watching a promo reel in the waiting room of Reiki centre or local cafe.
and that important words will be formatted in bold text.
there wont be any indigenous people left for cameron to patronise.
and I saw it on a tiny regular screen on a plane. The plot's vapid but reasonably stirring after a few airline wines, and it is all very pretty, etc. But yeah, this'll be shit - Cameron is making the mistake of believing anybody really gave a shit about the characters... this'll blates be a total Matrix/Pirates of the Caribbean sequels job - taking the characters places that nobody bar us is at all interested in, with diminishing retuns on the visuals.
That said, if he did Avatar 2: Freaky Looking Giant Monster Plants vs Killer Robots less shit than the ones in Transformers and it had no continuity whatsoever with the first film then that's SOMETHING I COULD GET BEHIND.
as the mere idea of it already makes me very very angry.
because the first was so very very pretty to watch.
And if it is like the matrix sequels, well ok I'll be dissappointed....but even though the matrix 2 was well off the fist one, parts of it were actually very good looking
