I like strawberry ice cream.
Friday is when the non-Steam versions go out.
Enjoy it folks. Really intrigued to see how it goes down with you lot.
This means i won't install 2010 on my Mac yet.
My jurisdiction, hopefully i'm not in for a torrent of abuse come release
I'll have to investigate it at the weekend. Hope this year's edition is better than the last one, which I just couldn't get into at all
after not getting into 09 at all. I'm loving it, bringing back old style wingers and tearing up the Israeli League.
every time I thought I'd found a decent tactic on last year's I'd promptly get played off the park at home by someone like Stoke, and after a while I just couldn't be arsed with it. I had to sack it off altogether before I ended up needing a triple heart bypass like Joe Kinnear.
By the time it finishes downloading it will be my treat for finishing my reading.
The gold code was completed a couple of weeks back. I'm pretty sure he'll be set to want to leave at the end of his contract in any patches.
Played through to the start of the league season with Chelsea before deleting and waiting for the retail copy to drop through the door.
Contract negotiations and player interaction are both vastly improved with the 'realtime' stuff, as is the board requests part. Like the match preparation screen, although not entirely sure how much effect it has.
Was working on forcing John Terry out of the club for fun. Lampard complained, but accepted my reasoning, while Terry completely cocked up his case to stay by getting sent off in the Charity Shield.
3D match engine looks lovely, although gets a little choppy when there's people in the ground (mine's an 1st generation Macbook Pro).
Decided improvement on 2010 overall as far as I'm concerned.
What are you Macbook's specs? I'm getting a couple of reports of 3D issues for a few people on our forums. Always such a pain when something comes up that just doesn't recreate on any of our machines.
Model Name: MacBook Pro 15"
Model Identifier: MacBookPro1,1
Processor Name: Intel Core Duo
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 2 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MBP11.0055.B08
Chipset Model: ATY,RadeonX1600
PCIe Lane Width: x16
VRAM (Total): 128 MB
Running OSX 1.5.8, graphical detail set to minimum.
Truth be told, it's not a problem for me - it's slightly choppy, but not unwatchable by any measure of the imagination and I'm aware that I'm on a relatively old machine. It's perfect in an empty ground, so seems that it's caused by the spectator sprites.
I only yesterday requested that that specific graphics card is taken off the minimum specs list as it struggles quite a lot. Glad it's watchable though.
in our family that wouldn't do the same!
Whenever I get bored of managing a Division 2 team in the updated CM 01/02, my first act is to create an alias, take over Arsenal and fine all of their players for no reason.
editor -> henry and bergkamps stats all down to 1 ->add new manager ->take charge of arsenal ->offer henry new contract ->signing on fee £5m, max wages ->fine henry 4 weeks wages for no reason ->retire from football
Like £58m, the retire from football.
I wouldn't even spend the money. It was JUST to fuck Newcastle up
We don't need any help fucking things up. I hope 'make player live with Kevin Nolan' is a feature in the game.
Carlos Tevez has refused to sign the contract extension you have offered. He is looking for a better wage.
[ ] Renegotiate contract
[ ] Withdraw offer
[x] Send to live with Kevin Nolan
In all honesty, I actually didn't! Just wanted a team where I could try everything and could easily put together a few wins without much effort. Only realised a week later that I could force him out as a bonus!
negotiations on contracts are lots of fun. Also, the training feels a lot better. Being able to mould your team into formations and a certain way of playing is a massive improvement.
3D engine seems to get choppy if there is too much going on in the background. I don't have problems with it when the internet are itunes are closed down but then I had similar problem last year aswell.
All in all very good. Oh and I also like this feature: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVIDVMoHZYc goal of the month comps?
but I shouldn't until I've got a job.
and the new training/tactics system. The news is a bit messy for me- I guess you can remove some of the feeds though?
I'm still using the 2D match engine because my mac isn't powerful enough.
You can customise what news you receive in the 'Manage subscriptions' screen, it's a bit clunky in my opinion but it's more refined then it was last year
it was this or New Vegas. I hope I made the right choice. I know which is going to make me rage more. Stopped playing 09 with Leicester when the new season fixture list read Stoke(A), Chelsea(H), Arsenal(A), City(A), Spurs(H), United(H)
I remember getting the last one from zavvi for about £25 on release day, are there any offer like that around now?
- like the new menu layout
- news is a little skittish. not sure where things are
- i like the new match screen
- still only on text commentary, the 3D match engine and the 2D dots are redundant. i get more on my team's performance from the text cause i've been around since Champ Man 3.
it feels nice and slick. good stuff.
