THIS IS THE NEWS:
Sonic 4 is out. Gets some great reviews, as long as you're aware that it's basically more of the same without all the shit SEGA added to the spiky one for the last 15 years. Eurogamer sums it up well:
"In short, this is the game SEGA should have made 15 years ago. It's just a shame that to be this good took ages. "
Medal Of Honour gets pretty good reviews. I imagine lots of you will buy it when you can put FIFA 11 down for 30 seconds as it's got guns and lots of people and... well, that's it actually innit?
Vanquish gets a great review in Japan (it's that mental looking game by the dudes who made RE4). Batman Arkham sequel continues to drip feed details. Tron Evolution and Goldeneye Wii get yet another decent preview or two rather surprisingly. The promising Wii title 'A Shadow's tale' is apparently a bit crap. Duke Nukem Forever '3 times the size of MW2' allegedly. Gran Turismo 5 is delayed again. NOTE HOW I PUT THOSE TWO TITLES TOGETHER.
In my world, I beat my iPhone at Scrabble AGAIN today. I rule.
I also had a bit of downtime this weekend due to my girlfriend's obsession with those 'Girl who...' books and have completed Mario Galaxy 2. Kind of. I have 117 stars, so have 3 to get. Though a rather annoying little green star just hinted I may get to do it all again should I so desire, probably in a green outfit or something equally pointless. My verdict on the game: not nearly as great as people made out. It's good, but lots of repetition of tasks due to those bloody Prankster Comets and it's also not as hard as I was led to believe. I'd argue that it's easier than Galaxy 1 as 4 levels on that game plain beat me whereas I can dip in and out of this quite easily.
Next up for me: No More Heroes 2, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Half Life 2 or the last bit of those Dr Who Adventure Games. What'll it be eh?!
