Tuesday Football Thread.
International night tonight. Scotland take on Spain in a game which I fully expect will be played mostly in front of the Scot's back 9.
England take on Montenegro, who I'm actually quite interested in seeing. Injuries have hit hard, so I imagine Lescott will partner Ferdinand and Crouch will partner Rooney. Hopefully Adam Johnson will continue out wide with Milner.
Meanwhile the Under 21s take a 2-1 lead to Romania for the 2nd leg of their Euro Championship play off.
Speaking of which, it's well worth checking out the Scottish Under 21 goal last night. Magnificently opportunistic.
Swindon leapfrog Bristol Rovers in League 2 with a 2-1 win.
Met Police beat Wealdstone 2-1 aet last night to set up a tie with Hendon in the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup. Cosy policeness all round there. As that happened, Hendon's awful record in the Championship Manager Cup continued with a 2-1 defeat at home to Harrow Borough in what was a dress rehearsal for Saturday's FA Trophy tie.
Lastly, Sutton United were reduced to 7 men in their CM Cup tie against Walton Casuals. 3 men sent off and then losing their keeper injured in extra time. They lost 1-0. I doubt there'll be too many tears shed over that at Gander Green Lane to be honest.
