there's an APPLE FESTIVAL in ely next saturday! A whole festival devoted to the apple!
You live in an amazing city.
I may take a little day trip there.
maybe if that's a success, thewarn will organise an ely cats/apples/beer meet-up sometime in 2011.
I am going to Cambridge for my birthday in 2 weeks! I am quite looking forward to it. I want to do some punting.
punting might be a bit chilly at this time of year, though (esp. if you fall in)
I'll make sure I do it on my birthday so the moaning is allowed. I don't want to fall in. If I do, I will pull the boat down with me.
Will be picking up bottles of unusual apple juices.
Meowington! Delay your birthday until 3 weeks time, then you can come to the Cambridge meet-up! (Sat 6th Nov)
1. Russet (dunno what type: they're all good)
iTouch > iMac > MacBook > iPad > iPhone > iPod > shuffle > nano
(someone was going to)
I'd go for
2. Pink Lady
possibly swap braeburn and pink lady
How do you like THEM apples?
thats a fact.
by a long chalk. They are suitable to grow all year round and they keep for a long time as well so... yeah all year round you should get good Braeburns (which for me are a good quality apple).
Cox is obviously a far superior variety but only between September and December really. Therefore in a supermarket between Spring and Autumn all you'll get is crap Cox's. And no-one wants that.
3. Fruity snack
Now THAT's the sort of apple that should be in this thread. None of that supermarket stuff.
My 'joke' might've killed off 'the Jobs angle'.
