Mackie starts ahead of Kenny 'form of his life' Miller. WHAT YA THINKING SCOTCHLAND FANS, KEN?
the mighty Cyprus take on Norway.
Northern Ireland v Italy might be fun.
I'm going to invade Scotland
You'll be next on Karl Henry's hitlist!
... which amounts to an overall £60m loss.
Be interesting to see the detail. I guess a lot of that's one off costs with the bond issue rather than just interest payment.
Sickening figures :(
no Ronaldo to flog this year. Just goes to show how ludicrous the whole situation is though. Modern English football is a shambles
This is a big deal for me.
I haven't watched football since I was about 11.
Caught it last week though and it was great fun.
i especially like the reaction of the defender in front of the goal.
can't we just play all of the qualifiers continuously in one week and be done with it
it's only the early September ones (and the silly friendlies in August) that are a pain.
flicking through the Whitehawk squad they've certainly got a few names who have played at a much higher level than Ryman 1 South. I'll have everything crossed that we're able to do the business and bank another £7.5k.
St Albans have Kingstonian, who they SHOULD be able to beat, especially with our amazing new French striker. And we have a new guy called Gomez who doesn't really do anything but it's nice to have a Spaniard around the place.
We've already got £7.5k in prize money from our previous wins and this games worth £7.5k on top of that.
By the sounds of things, the key to unlocking Kingstonian this season is winning midfield and keeping Traynor quiet.
We still miss Poku (went to Luton) there.
the Ks midfield was terrible, and Traynor didn't have a great game. It's the centre backs that made it hard. We totally bossed the midfield with our 4 to their 5!
No FA Cup for us - we lost early on so we can concentrate on getting out of the Ryman ;o) and as Lowestoft are also out, there's a top of the league clash on tomorrow. 1st vs 2nd. One of our mad supporters is even cycling to the game from Kingston! She leaves today.....
Here's a link explaining why sh'es doing it, along with her blog and a radio clip from Talksport
So that's where Sigere's ended up :)
Ought to be a decent game at Clarence Park tomorrow. K's are a decent side - a shoo in for the play offs imho. Good luck!
£7.5k is a decent amount of money. Best of luck to you guys too.
this might be NSFW if your boss doesn't like you laughing really loudly at liverpool
I've only just now watched the video that inspired that. It's not fun viewing. It's pathetic, but not in a way that fills me with schadenfreude.
the original video is staggering and sums up the reason i dislike liverpool, the pompous, self-serving lack of self-awareness
Rooney isn't a chav he's a "free spirit"
Tevez to Barca - makes no sense
Man Utd to go the FM route and sign Akinfeev
Benzema is the world class Carlton Cole
Liverpool something something
can't imagine there'd be a difference in price. i'd be very surprised if de gea wasn't VDS's replacement, though.
Can't see SAF going for a 19/20 year old GK to replace VDS, no matter how much promise he's shown.
Mackie to start ahead of Miller......the same kenny miller who is scoring for fucking fun.....mackie eh, debut game.....hmmmmmm.....WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK LEVEIN?!
Quite staggered by this, of course if mackie scores the winner.....
and now he's trying prove a point? Bring back iwelumo.
8 goals in 10 games
there have been a lot of strikers having a lot of fun recently.
It's the holding company, not the club itself that's facing administration. The same thing happened and West Ham and they didn't get docked points because, like us, the club itself was solvent and profitable.
i'm sure it won't happen
i guess the debt has been placed onto the clubs balance sheet? perhaps with west ham it wasn't. i haven't looked into it though.
has not had a direct impact on the holding company's move into administration. West Ham could point to other clear external circumstances, while Liverpool might struggle there.
Southampton tried that one, but as the holding company didn't hold other assets, they got a points deduction anyway. Not sure what the corporate structure is at Liverpool, but I suspect they'll strugle to avoid a deduction were they to go into administration.
liverpool are pretty important to english football, i'm sure someone will find a way to keep the deduction from happening.
The rules on the matter are fairly clear.
That's a poor argument... a points deduction has never caused any team to 'go under'.
However, this is an decent read about why points deductions fundamentally don't work as a sanction.
whoever is in charge of these things might look more kindly on Liverpool than they would on a club of lesser stature
What evidence is there to suggest the appropriate sanctions wouldn't be imposed on Liverpool?
I'd be very very surprised if it happened to Liverpool though particularly with the takeover seemingly imminent
If he thinks what NESV are offering for the club is too little then I'd like to see what he makes of the offers a club with -3 points on the board gets.
West Ham were just one of the concerns of the holding company in question, so the insolvency wasn't just due to West Ham (or due to West Ham at all) whereas Kop Holdings is the parent to only one company, Liverpool.
It's a ridiculous situation, as only a couple of days ago sources at the premier League were insisting that "The aim of the regulations is primarily to capture clubs who have gone into insolvency. This is manifestly not the case with Liverpool Football Club."
Imagine them both in a bunker underneath Anfield ordering imaginary divisions of Dirt Kuyts around
Fucking Stuart Pearce.
Ireland are lucky to be 3-0 down. Fucking hell we're/they're shit. And I really, really want Sturridge to become a quality player, but the more I see of him the less likely it seems.
Montenegro beat Switzerland, they're 9 points from 9. They could get that playoff spot behind England if they carry on like this.
I'd stopped watching moments before the penalty was given. Mostly because the stream I had was shit, but also because of exasperation. I won't bother finding a new one in the hope they complete the comeback without me watching ...
But it's only 25 mins in
God knows why, must be weird finishing a match close to midnight
just because they're boiling hot days would knock someone out after 45 minutes
But their group is pretty open so they could recover.
Decent result for NI, drawing at home to Italy.
Tuesday will be Scotland's last qualifier until September 2011, weird schedule for them.
they only scraped past kazakhstan though
if they make it they could be a real side
Only 4th in their World Cup qualifying group (out of six teams). Like Scotland they've gone downhill a lot from their peak period of the 80s. Ditto Belgian clubs.
and the country might cease to exist soon so there's no patriotic drive or anything.
it's pretty sad to see as they really should have a good side, as you say.
Even in the 1986 World Cup when they reached the semi-finals apparently there was a French/Flemish speaking divide in the squad.
"Following his call-up to the England squad to face Montenegro, 33-year-old Kevin Davies believes he can be the new Emile Heskey."
"Montenegro striker Mirko Vucinic, who could line up against England on Tuesday, celebrated his goal in their 1-0 win over Switzerland on Friday by removing his shorts and putting them on his head. He was booked."
Love how angry he clearly gets at the end. "No! I've got something big planned, and you just swinging me round and grabbing me in a headlock makes it look like I've taken my shorts off for no reason!"
