Rumour has it, Asda will have it for 25 quid for the 36O and ps3. Can anyone confirm this?
(I actually went and got it that morning- loads of people bought like 4/5 copies to sell on as well! They should limit it to one per customer..)
Not sure if I'll get Fifa this year, I've heard bad things about the creation centre. (You can't even use your team in career mode, or put a sponsor on their shirts.) Going to wait first and see how buggy it is, after last year's debacle!
wasn't that buggy but 25 quid is a steal for any new release especially Fifa
but my friend was a QA tester on this at EA in Vancouver and informs me it is "Buggy as fuck" but they had to get it out the door.
I got Fifa 10 last year on release, and after starting manager mode had tonnes of weird shit going off, like players I signed vanishing, and appearing playing for other teams. There was a thread on the fifa forum about bugs, I can't remember the amount they found but it was staggering- and made me wonder if they employ any sort of quality control!
Apparently they needed to squeeze it into their financial year or something so they're just like "We'll patch it later"
Mainly things on the career/manager side of it? im not too familiar with the series
Get the product out asap, let the consumers do the testing, knowing they can patch the fuck out of it without much complaint.
Buying games on launch day and expecting them to work was so painfully dull.
They fixed some of it with patches a few months later, but by then the enthusiasm for the game had long gone, it was a case of too little too late. If you're paying full price for a game as well you expect it to work out of the box, not once the devs get round to fixing it! I don't buy that many games as it is, if a games not finished then I'll buy something better!
I think Fifa's been in a bit of a funny position for a while- the actual on pitch game has been improving, but for the last few years its main rival PES has been terrible. (Which is a reversal of the situation 5 years ago...) Wondering if they're getting complacent in releasing a shoddy product..
but the demo of PES is much better imo
They're total cunts.
you can't buy it from Gamestation either, as they're owned by the same company.
Even though they're owned by the same company they are run completely differently. Kind of like HMV/Fopp...
Now the only difference is the stickers and the colour of the uniforms.
If they've been tarred with the Game cunt brush.
...where do you by your games from that qualifies as morally acceptable?
used to work for them.
Whereabouts were you?
I was at the Oxford Street branch, utter hellhole...
how horrible it must have been in Oxford Street. I was at the York stores for 5 1/2 years. In the big one, then the little one then the new big one.
I figured out, after i left, over the years i was working there i did 9 weeks unpaid overtime...9 f-ing weeks!
Which is well worth checking on release day:
The planet is running low on syllables as it is.
