"Anything you want on a stick"
He is amazing, I don't care if he's a total fabrication, he is amazing
the concept sounded shit tho and come dine with me on 4od seemed more appealing, and there's a prog about the who on sky arts at the mo so that's on instead
Why is it on Sky and not Channel4 or something?
Really enjoyed that a lot
Seemed more natural on camera as the episode progressed. I think he only acts up a bit for the camera, mostly natural.
but after weeks of searching, it is finally mine! greatest piece of television ever.
...but I'm not sure how funny people who aren't familiar with him might find it. My mum did laugh a bit at the fortune telling thing then asked if it was real, then later said "this is a bit shit".
I loved it, though. Especially the bits where he seemed to be having a good time, like when he threw that pin or whatever it was.
i think i like it because ive known him since podcasts/xfm.
i do also genuinely want him to enjoy stuff and broaden his mind.
i don't think the buffoon-esque background music is necessary
The shape of his head is amazing.
Is it more than Carl saying something stupid like "I don't believe in the atmosphere!" and then 20 minutes of Ricky's godawful seal-mating-call laugh. Then Stephen Merchant will offer up a fact before Gervais starts with that fucking noise again. Repeat until thoroughly bored.
Just the introduction, and then Karl rang him up once to tell him about public toilets in China but that was about it.
less brilliant comedy, more best travel show ever
"Is this any better than the podcasts?

'oh fuckin hell i just looked at the wrong moment'.
then his noises when he was eating toad
and the earlier bit with the foetus
muttering "fucker... you fucking twat" etc :***)
on sky's website
the OTHER reason :)
we dont see suzanne at all do we?
Its one of life's great enigmas
seeing Karl on the telly is a treat. I don't think I've laughed at a comedy as much for some time. Shits on The Inbetweeners and I don't even mind that program. Should have been on Channel 4 or something really. Channel 5 would have been better than Sky, who even has Sky anymore what is this the 90s!?!
great stuff, his complete bemusement at everything is wonderful. The bit where he's getting a massage from that terrifying old man with one tooth had me in tears. Wonderful telly.
After about fifteen minutes his schtick wears off and it's just a whining bore moaning about everything. I remember Alexei Sayle doing the same thing on Great Railway Journeys Of The World and that wasn't even supposed to be funny.
And Gervais and Merchant just come across as smug tossers.
You sound like a stupid Southern bellend
