...just a rough idea, like, to have in my head
'why don't you just ask the store'
i did, and the guy was vague as fuck.
are they online applications?
with a hand written covering letter.
last year it was near the start of november if i remember right. i didnt get the job :( they hired some pretty blonde english student, instead of my potato face english student
it should be typed
No point handing in a CV in person, they'll just tell you to go online and look for vacancies in your local area.
But I think it's different with different stores
...then you're probably a bit late. I applied at the end of August and they were full up pretty quickly. The job's simple but they insist on a large amount of training which takes all those months before Christmas to actually complete.
Also, I was there from August to the end of January and it was fucking awful. Everything you think you'd like about working in a bookshop is wrong, and even more so with Waterstone's.
Some how along the way they forgot it was a christmas job and i stayed until august. Worst job i ever had. Their website is actually very good as it advertises all shop jobs instead of just head officy stuff
Should go for this too. MONEYYYYYSSS
And I've just noticed there's an email alert thing here, which is quite handy:
by far the most efficient way to get work there, even if it's just a passing acquaintanceship.
