Can someone call an ambulance I feel like I'm in a thick bubble and everything's flat.
or just cringing because its awful. Last night was the perfect example of this. Some of it is great some of it is painful to watch and I don't think it's in a good way
That scene in the car was so bad, he was like a shit Kevin the teenager but def wasn't supposed to be.
Still some cracking lines though - "Follow the puddles mate, she's that fuckin wet for you"
That bit last week where he went and sat on the shed roof!? What was that, similarly with his Dad in the car yesterday, like a somehow not as good version of Kevin and Perry. His Dad was woeful as well.
That said it's still good fun and when it gets it right it's painfully accurate of how sixth form was
but in the past he has been pretty good, just little moments like his facial expressions around his parents
I think his eyes are going to roll out his head at some point
He's the straight man and his sole reason for existence is to be the bridge between Will being friends with Neil and Jay.
It was fun and well observed for most of it, but once they actually took the drugs it just silly. Will shouting on the stage was the least funny bit.
His mum, however, really is fit.
Everyone I spoke to seemed to think Will being high was the best bit but I thought it was a bit shit too. Still love watching it though.
Could've run with them smoking the tea leaves and going "Ooh, I'm a bit high", like every other TV show that has a """"DRUGS"""" episode.
[Insert textbook "look, I'm a heterosexual" comment]
is easily fitter than all the school girls, i'd love to plunge one in
What was with the arm thing?
But for some reason I found his "and everything's flat" thing hilarious because it makes no sense etc.
so many flashbacks to 6th form
The week before was much better. Someone needs to sit WIll down and make him watch Pineapple Express so he can see how to act high. He was just talking normally and doing that stupid arm shit. Simon is just a really awkward actor, which sometimes works in his favour but didn't last night.
Jay was fucking brilliant as usual though. So many good lines.
i dont understand the Will arm thing.
but some good lines, and Will's mum on screen for a good 2 minutes.
But still prefer Neil's sister
the few good moments just couldn't make up for it.
also, how many years between will and his mum in real life? i reckon it could be as little as five. correct me if i'm wrong
And, she's married (though separated) from Ben Miller! I like him.
Yep. I LOVED the Peter Serafinowic show.
It must be one of the most underrated shows of recent years.
well out then. still, its conceivable isnt it?
the whole bit with the dealer, jay was poor impression of himself, will was cartoonish. good show from the lanky one though.
also it had Failsafe in it.
I was drinking coffee at the time
So many funny bits and much of it was very familiar. Every week it edges higher up my list of favourite sitcoms. Oh and Simon is great.
Probably my least favourite episode so far, even though there were still some actualol moments, mostly from Neil.
Sleepy time. Sleepy time.
I don't think the first two episodes of this series have been more or less funny than the previous two series, but people are maybe expecting more and being a bit more critical. And some just don't like it, which is fine.
I really like Simon and his stresses at his parents and his transparent acting. I seem to remember I was fairly similar at that age. And I enjoyed Jay's dad making an appearance.
Really? Every week?
Jay and Neil trying to get drugs off of Donovan and the black dealer = gold. The whole "can you roll it for us?" bit as well. :D Neil's actually been on superb form in these 2 episodes - best actor/character I reckon.
Simon acting was so terrible it was good. Needed more of Will's mum. Needed more Donovan as well.
i did take umbrage with the channel 4 woman talking over Pete And The Pirates at the end.
I didn't get the arm thing though.
What's not good is that it's on at the same time as Him & Her, so people won't be watching that.
will's a rubbish character
would be like peep show without mark
is posturing critics going THEY'RE NOT BEING HIGH RIGHT: ONLY I KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE HIGH.
It was a good episode, it's a good series, and it was never above the more farsical, slapstick elements, so Simon's Kevin and Perry-esque idiocy is fine.
