New season is underway - discuss.
Now that i'm living with 2 fans. I've decided the Giants are my team on accounts of having only ever been to NJ/NY in America and the fact that they play at The Meadowlands which is my favourite album of all time.
My first viewing experience was decent enough, got to get used to the stop-start nature of it all but I think I could get really into the tactical side of it. We'll see anyway...
I've decided to follow the Cowboys because they're Hank Hill's favourite team, and that man certainly talks sense. I got Madden for the PS3 for christmas and It's really helping me get up to scratch with the tactics. I'd really recommend getting it. Probably the easiest and most fun way to learn short of getting stuck in and playing it yourself.
though Houston are meant to be decent this year.
so long as the Cowboys don't get to the Superbowl I'm happy, the one time I've developed an irrational dislike for.
Very worried about this year. Excited about going to see them at Wembley, but we're probably going to be on the end of a losing season. A big rebuilding project is needed over the next few years.
Titans looked good in beating the Raiders; dark horses, perhaps?
they have the best rb in the league (just) not the vikes.
a win is a win though, and the defence looked very strong. Henne needs to improve his throwing under pressure, too many balls are over and under thrown with the slightest hint of a blitz.
Houston are going to be a surprise package this year - look for them to make the AFC Championship game. Schaub is really coming along, and they've got the best receiving unit in the league.
but agree that they will do well this year and hardly a surprise package. There's a fair deal of expectation after the yard schaub put up last year and winning today was picked by a fair amount of pundits. Schaub for years was the best backup QB to Vick and now in a good houston side with potentially a slightly (i say this very reluctantly) weaker Indy have a real shot.
Picked by many to win today at the steelers and by all reports really had a chance. Matty Ice is the real deal but not getting past a poor steelers side with Dixon at QB isn't a great start. In previous years a close game at Heinz field is accaptable but i fear that the Saints will walk the NFC south again this year and making the playoffs will again be real tough.
Disappointed by Turner's lack of yards oh well home to the Cards next week, an 0-2 start would not be good but a real possibility.
Haven't got a team as of yet, I know all the Playoff teams from last year fairly well, and the Steelers, Packers, Bengals and Giants from Madden games. I quite like the Jets team, although I hate their coach, picked the Saints all through the play-offs just cos of the story and a random obsession with New Orleans, and Troy Polamalu is probably my favourite player. Heard he did well again today.
Have watched all the televised games in the first week (well one's on now). Not sure how the Giants managed to win after apparentley forgetting how to catch, I guess they were lucky Matt Moore forgot how to throw whenever he got near the end-zone. Good game though. Didn't expect the 49ers to lose, especially that badly.
I'm aware he doesn't, was putting it out there as a possible reason for supporting the Steelers. They seem kind of boring though- aside from him and Roesthlizberger (never gonna spell that right)- who's pretty interesting off the pitch at least.
Just a giant mouth full of piss and vinegar.
Poor Matt Moore at the end looked wretched, as he should, because he was rubbish.
Offense is piss poor. Sanchez can't hit a barn door apparently, and LDT is the only man getting yards on the ground... he's hardly explosive. I'll put it down to early season jitters/settling in.
In other news... Go Seahawks! Is Pete Carroll the most likeable man in NFL? Quite possibly.
forgot you were a 49er.
At home to the Patriots next week - not a game you'd want your starting QB to find his form, even with the Patriots' excuse for a pass rush. Away at Miami in week 3 won't be easy either. Amazed by the Seahawks against SF; how the 49ers didn't score a TD before half time, I don't know. After the break, Smith got picked off at will.
The next month sees Broncos' play the Seahawks (H), Colts (H), Titans (A), Ravens (A), Jets (H). Could be on the end of a few canings...
amusement coming from a female reporter that was waiting ...in the Jets' changing room... after the game while she was waiting to interview someone. Apparently she may have been on the recieving end of a few comments. And didn't know where to look. ffs...
Disappointed the chargers couldn't beat the chiefs though, sounded a horrible rainy game though!
some cracking commentary. I prefer the old dude to that over enthusiastic goon Nate.
'Buhler's Night Off' when the Dallas kicker misses a field goal - world class punditry.
oh i get it you prefer gary imlach over nat coombs. He does the tour too he's alright but i don't believe he has any interest in football whatsoever, not even sure he was watching the game
What an odd game that skins boys game was, despite all of the many mistakes Barron will take the blame when surely the coaches are to blame.
This weeks game on 4 is Peyton v Eli could be ok but wish somehow we could see some teams from the west a bit more often.
Though beating Detroit at home isn't a huge step forward.
Green Bay will beat the Bills, but I think it'll be closer than expected. Mainly because the Green Bay D isn't great against the rush. It'll turn into an old school shootout, neither team can really defend that well.
Minnesota to slam the Dolphins. Peterson is going to rip through them.
Don't care about Chiefs vs Browns. Probably the Chiefs though.
Bears Dallas is an interesting one. Cowboys, just, if they learn to run the ball. Both quarterbacks are going to be made mincemeat of though. Julius Peppers and Damarcus Ware in the same game. Ouch.
Atlanta to comfortably beat the Cardinals. Matty Ryan to throw for 300. I hope.
Carolina to beat the Buccaneers. But I don't really care.
Philadephia to beat Detroit, but don't expect Vick to have it as easy as last week. The Lions have some nice defensive linemen, Suh could well get a sack, he's out for blood by the looks of things, and I don't think the Philly offense is that much better than the Bears.
Ravens to beat Cincinnati, especially if Flacco plays as well as last week. I can't wait to see what TO and Ochocinco will do if they score a TD.
Piitsburgh Tennessee will be messy. I actually fancy the Titans here.
Seahawks need to prove last week wasn't a blip. Think they'll beat Denver.
St Louis will cruise past Oakland because Oakland are the worst football team ever.
Texans to pound the Redskins. The Texan secondary is surprisingly underrated, they are a very very good team this year.
Jets are going to beat New England but you knew that already. LDT to run for 200 yards and 4 touchdowns. Brady to get sacked, Randy Moss to be shutdown entirely.
San Diego will walk over the Jaguars.
I would say the Giants to beat the Colts, but for the fact that Peyton Manning just won't let it happen. It'll be hella close though. Expect that Colts D to be unable to stop the run. Again.
Finally, Saints will cruise against the 49ers.
The Dolphins D looks like a much tighter unit this year. Whether it's enough to stop the Vikings running game, we'll find out tonight.
Chicago beating Dallas - hooray!
Cincinnati beating Baltimore - possibly a surprise?
liking Hester's td catch for the Bears
Very sad to hear. Hope this galvanises the team for the rest of the season.
Some insane big plays.
Adrian Petersen running really is a thing of beauty.
Fuck off Dallas.
must be kicking themselves for letting Cassell go to the Chiefs, he's proving to be something of a MVP this season...!
4 point margin between Broncos and Titans; just over 7mins on the clock in the 4th quarter...
Would only be fair.
I'll give them a chance. That is all.
NFC looking very strong suddenly: Falcons, Giants and Eagles all look like Superbowl contenders.
my team the Dolphins are continuously shooting themselves in the foot just when it looks like we're improving. we're switching Chads today, Pennington for Henne. i liked Pennington in '08 and he probably would still be the starter were his shoulder not attached by velcro to his body. Henne has so much improving to do, but i'm surprised this season wasn't just written off as a learning-curve for him and working for next year. it won't change much offence-wise, we need for Brown and Williams to start running the ball more effectively.
how's everyone's fantasy team going? i'm 8-1 in my fantasy league on nfl.com so the season's going fine for me so far.
Matt Ryan is 18-1 at the Georgia Dome, with that sort of record the superbowl is a possibility and topping the nfc south is a must. The saints will not go away and wht is it with the Bucs doing well, nobody saw that coming. The NFC South is the best 'pound for pound' division in the nfl. And it's definitely the Falc's turn.
Surprise of the season has to be the hapless cowboys, 1-7, where the hell did that come from? That one win was away at the Texans too, very odd.
i really like the falcons, if they could manage to get home-field advantage they'd be favourites for me to get to the superbowl. but the Giants are the strongest team in the league at the moment and i think they'll get the no.1 seeding. it's a great year though for parity across most of the teams - no runaway teams, every division competitive, sometimes all four teams in the running. it's going to make for some great games later in the season.
They might as well not even have a secondary.
Cowboys should be 0-8.
Went to see them at Wembley; really should have won (the flea flicker play would have been a contender for score of the season if it hadn't have been flagged). The Raiders defeat was horrendous. Orton and Lloyd is a fruitful partnership, and Champ Bailey's always game, but the defence is leaking points and when Orton's off colour, the whole team goes down with him. McDaniels should stay on as coach for another year at least.
That said, tonight against the Chiefs at Mile High, end of the first quarter - we're 21 up and Orton's already thrown 146yds and 3 touchdown passes. Promising.
simply watched that ball aired out crying to be picked off was caught way way downfield. Your division is a messy one too.
Denver clearly keen to put someone else through the ordeal they had against Oakland.
Fair play to Cassel, his arm was like clockwork. Chargers game is make-or-break for both the division and the season.

my poor team. what happened?
They've looked a little ropey the past couple of games, definitely got lucky against the Lions, but what's that saying about great teams making their own luck and then riding it? There probably isn't one, but that's what they're doing. Sanchez showed he's got some balls and a lot of fight - he might not have the arm of Matt Ryan or Flacco, but he's a canny operator.
Big surprise for me has been the lack of carries for Shonn Greene, but no-one is gladder than me that LT is still cutting and running through the gaps like he's just been drafted. Also little annoyed that the defence doesn't seem to make as many big plays as it used to, but I guess that's more teams being wary of trying anything against us...
Teams to watch this year seem to be Eagles, Falcons, Giants, Ravens, Steelers and Jets. But the beauty is that literally anyone is still in it. Love the fact that teams like the Chiefs, Bucs and Browns are still in it. Though as much as I love watching Peyton Hillis lumber his way into the endzone, it's not gonna happen this weekend, Rex is gonna shut him down.
albeit against Detroit.
That Houston v Jacksonville game looked good.
My Texans Chargers game was amazing.
Shocking season so far, we need to win the rest of our games to make the playoffs. Putting all our eggs in the Favre basket is looking like it was a bad idea, he's 41 now and his limbs are basically hanging on by threads. It might be worth giving Tavaris Jackson a shot for the rest of the year, but that's unlikely unless Brett is literally dead.
HOOOOOOLLLLYYYYYYYY holy. Dude mighta had the best game for a quarterback... EVER.
Unreal. 4 passing td's and 2 rushing. I dare you to watch the highlights and not get a semi. THE FIRST PLAY OF THE DAMN GAME... zips it like 70 yards no problem!
i like McNabb so want to see the Redskins do well but you can't win when a QB has a game like that.
Tyler Thigpen hopefully gets a shot at starting for the Dolphins this Thursday - he was good as far i can remember for the Chiefs and he had some good plays coming on late against Tennessee. have to feel for Pennington, two plays and he's out again with a shoulder injury.
Kevin who? Honestly the way Vick flicks his wrist and the ball flies out like that, it defies physics.
Big question: Will the Chargers make it? I say 'aye'.
Big question 2: Will Rex Ryan kick his defence up the arse? I say 'aye'.
Big question 3: Why is Brett Favre even starting?!?!
THE REALLY BIG QUESTION:
For me, I'm going with AFC to remain as is pretty much. Patriots and Steelers automatically through to the divisional round - I can't see either of them dropping more than one game from now until post-season.
Wild Card will certainly contain the Jets (d'oh) and Ravens.
I like the Chiefs, but I don't know how I feel about them with Cassel out/understrength following that appendectomy. I can easily see the Chargers sneaking in. Really can't see the Raiders doing it with the matchups they've got. But they've been a strange team this year and it wouldn't be entirely impossible.
On the otherside, Jags to easily get the divisional championship and make it to the playoffs. Colts just don't have a defence this year which has cost them big.
NFC is fucking mental, mainly because the NFC west is such a terrible division. I like the Falcons to hold onto their division against the Saints. Less confident about the Bears, Green Bay are looking absolutely ferocious at the moment and I'd tip them for the divisional round.
Otherwise, pretty certain that the Eagles and the Giants will both make it into the playoffs, though I might revise that if Michael Vick struggles against Dallas. It would be amazing if St Louis made it. Don't think Tampa Bay can do enough, but I like them a lot.
1) No - Chiefs should just edge it.
3) That's something beyond all logic.
On the really big question of playoff picks - agree that the Falcons should take the NFC South, and that Green Bay should take their division. AFC South looks much closer than it should be; my money would be on the Colts to top it nine times out of ten, but Manning is helping to paper over a lot of cracks in an otherwise struggling team. NFC West could go any way; the Seahawks and the Rams both have equally difficult run-ins and then meet on the final day - too close to call.
Really, really big question - Urban Meyer to the Broncos? Unlikely if his health issues are as serious as those reported...
I love being proved wrong mere hours after making a prediction :(
Listening to Patriots @ Bears coverage at the moment. Tom Brady against Julius Peppers - should be a good 'un.
Fucking Jets are already down 10-0. Brandon Marshall hasn't done a damn thing all year, and now...
at managing to screw things up.
Matt Forte is my running back in fantasy this week. Along with LaGarrett Blount.
that is all
Jets have a left tackle called D'Brickashaw Ferguson. Then there's Richie Incognito who plays for the Dolphins.
And there's literally millions more. Craphonso Thorpe is a wide receiver who plays for some no mark offence... The Bengals have a defensive end called Frostee Rucker. And of course Chad Ochocinco, who changed his name by deed poll to say 85 in spanish (he wears 85).
I think my favourite is the ex-patriots cornerback called Earthwind Morlan.
moments after he was called the 'safest pair of hands in the NFL'.
my stream just went down.
Jets D is playing like last year. Sadly, so is Mark Sanchez and the offence.
but part of me knows this is part of their cruel game they're playing this year - win one, a sniff of the playoffs, then lose. repeat for an 8-8 record.
little fuckers :D
when both defences drop into prevent mode maybe we'll see some decent plays. Henne looks dismal, some of the worst numbers of his career.
Santonio 'Clutch' Holmes :D
give the ball to ronnie and ricky.
Chiefs got hammered by San Diego, 49ers beat the Seahawks and New England pretty much had the Bears rolled over before HT. Note to self; stop predicting anything this season. You'll make yourself look stupid.
they're playing formations with something like 7 tight ends but it seems to be working.
and also the kicking team was unbelievable. Carpenter is the best place kicker in the league and Fields' punts may have kept us in the game by keeping the Jets in their half.
feels like a hollow victory though, because unless Henne picks up immediately we don't stand a chance of winning out and making the playoffs.
one of the greatest sporting achievements of all time. i know that sounds a bit like people saying Tom Watson nearly winning the Open was in fact the greatest, but that is something else. 19 years of consecutive football games.
Minnesota and NY playing in Detroit because of this:
Pretty incredible but I wish the Texans had won it after coming back from 15 points down in the 4th. Schaub was incredible even if his stats were knocked down by the ridiculous amounts of drops his receivers made. The interception at the end was a real shame- but that was his 62nd pass of the game or something- madness! They made the Ravens defense look average in the end- but I guess they had the last laugh at the end.
Huge game against Philly this Sunday and the winner should take the division.
Giant's should win in Green Bay with their QB problems and in Washington.
Eagles other games are a probable easy win in Minnesota who also have QB issues now and an interesting game against the cowboys in week 17, which might go either way, but if Eagles have the tiebreaker over NYG it will be a dead rubber.
who of you lot got 120 points in the DiS fantasy league and what's your secret? I'm actually putting effort in and getting wonderfully average results consistently!
Hilarious in a really childish sort of way. They seem to enjoy being the NFL panto villains.
his words were along the lines of "if he'd done it to me i would've snapped his legs off." it's so clearly a Jets tactic as well, 6 guys all standing too far onto the field, and one just has a lapse of judgement? also he's something like Push-ups Coach so they couldn't have picked a less important guy on the sideline to do it.
what a game for the Eagles. DeSean Jackson is unreal - the man fumbles and it only gives him an advantage.
Dolphins put up another howler in a growing line of terrible performances. i thought it may have just been an issue with Henne, but now it looks like there are problems everywhere.
and what a finish. Giants threw it away big time.
Shame the Packers couldn't stop the Pats. I like that Matt Flynn guy, thought he did well given the circumstances and was a shame he messed up at the end.
The Matt Connelly run at the end of the 2nd quarter was one of the best things i've ever seen though. When he was holding it with two hands I was just cracking up.
Come on you Bucs. Even though I'm a Jets fan, that's the game I'm watching right now - I got love for Raheem Morris. Don't think the Giants will keel over against the 'skins though.
and claim that last spot anyway.
Would be funny if Seattle won and made the playoffs with a 7-9 record.
But I'm not sure they'll get the results they need. Good season for them though in the end.
10-5 is pretty respectable as well. It's a shame their division is so tough, they'd have walked NFC West...
Still I wish I could watch this game, I really want to see how Joe Webb is doing. It sounds like he could be a QB for the future.
Shame that TB can't get in too, but they've got a great future...
...unlike my Dolphins who might as well have played be-helmeted mops against the Pats and done better.
Giants 10-7 up and Bears 3-0 up against the Packers. All still pretty close.
Tonight's result entirely depends on who wants to lose the most (it is the Redskins after all). I'm going for a narrow Giants win which will be confirmed by Rex Grossman throwing a desperate interception on 2nd down.
that's for sure
Good work, that man.
Ultimate grinning double act. I swear Driver's smile is wider than his face.
They're a likeable team altogether.
Really hope the Rams make it, because at least they appear to be developing a team, rather than the Seahawks which have been in decline for years.
Marginal call at best.
But I like the way Whitehurst is going about playing the game - go out with a bang if they have to.
Cue gnashing of teeth from 10-6 Bucs and Giants. But them's the rules. The Saints should win at the Seahawks next week though.
Wild-card games - NFC:
Packers at Eagles
Saints at Seahawks
(First round bye - Falcons and Bears)
Wild-card games - AFC:
Ravens at Chiefs
Jets at Colts
(First round bye - Patriots and Steelers)
Chiefs (dicey on this one) but I don't think the Baltimore D is anything like as good as it was, and I think the Chiefs offence is too much for them
...and I kinda gotta back my Jets. They can get it done though. Whether they will is another thing entirely.
Colts (though would like the Jets to win as they seem to be assuming the status of NFL panto villians)
Looking forward to this weekend. So much football!
Packers are the only team I think who can spoil these picks
Plus the 'Hawks got some seriously questionable calls going their way, but on balance of play they probably deserved to win.
Predictions for next week:
Then will spend the night shouting "That's JET FUTBALL!"
It's Playoff FootBall!
I think the saints will win the first but don't see them as a 1/5 shot on the road...hoping for a decent game. Plus the saints are 0-3 on the road in the playoffs.
Bush is going to see ALOT of the ball today.
Saints will have this wrapped up by half-time.
I just think the saints travelling about as far as possible to play outdoors in a noisy ground should afford the hawks some respect. But sure an 11-5 team should walk over the 7-9 team coming from a very very poor division. Only 3-0 so far and that was given to them on a poor kick. Either way Falc's can beat either.
they've been playing in a loud stadium all year and they've done nothing. Hasselbeck has seen his best days too, i wouldn't be surprised to see Whitehurst come in at some point
They did ok against jackson last week too so should handle the saints run game. Guess we'll never know if they keep making these sort of mistakes.
Seahawks are playing hard I'll grant them that.
Got to give them credit so far (now watch them lose 49-24 or something).
you're making me look bad
hopefully this will wind up as mad as the Arizona v Green Bay game last year
Come on Saints, we can't have a losing team making the play-offs proper. (That said, this game is great from the neutral's perspective - may the shootout continue!)
Hesslebeck '11 = Kurt Warner '10
I'm certainly not too worried about either coming to the Georgia dome next week.
Seahawks fan moved into my flat today. They have it.
This is the shock of the play offs. Love it.
This is insane.
the hawks just need to gain 8-10 yard to get a fg to put the game beyond reach. A drop and delay of game was much much worse.
Saints should still be able to wrap this up. Not that I want em to, but they are a clutch team.
one timeout - they could get this ball back with about 3 minutes on the clock at best...can the 'Hawks REALLY run the Saints out of this game?
TD. onside kick. hail mary. simple.
Onside kick coming up!
and great upset to kick things off. Not sure Seattle can make it past Atlanta/Chicago next week though.
Holmes lols...and Caldwally
i don't know who is watching tape in the booth for them but there was nothing there that could overturn the decision.
you can see why they're 4th and 6th in points allowed per game.
Gotta love some good playoff action. Any time I can see that Peyton Manning butt-hurt face it makes my day.
Gotta big up Cromrarde on that last kickoff return setting up the final drive.
Good opening day.
would've loved to have seen Brees and Manning make it but that's the way it goes.
and their winning ways. Brees cool tho, I was kind of bummed they lost, but I had to jump on the underdog bandwagon.
Freaked my kid out. I've been watching football since my yoots, and that was possibly the greatest clutch run I've ever seen, dude broke like 7 tackles, and that stiff arm... he just punked that fool!
That was a special game, high scoring intense games are my favorite.
On a side note I love Adam Vinatieri.
Don't think I'm alone with that.
Sore head too. Drunken posting from me up there^^^
Following yesterday's upsets. I still think the Chiefs can do it. Less sure on the Packers.
Packers-Eagles could be a classic.
Chiefs haven't won a playoff game for almost 20 years I see.
is just going to kill your chances stone dead
*insert cliched statement about Baltimore's defence here*
Heading for a powder keg Ravens v Steelers game next week at the moment.
thus giving them the ball back with a first down - probably proof it won't be your day.
and the Chiefs are losing their discipline. they can't keep stopping the clock like that, refs are going go to eject a player if they keep it up.
18 years and counting for the poor Chiefs. And I get a prediction right this weekend finally - hooray!
I predicted Eagles for the next game but now I'm not so sure.
And the more I think about it the more I think I'll be wrong.
My best mate is an Eagles fan though, so I guess I won't mind them winning.
With division rivals. Should be two great games next week.
21-10 with 1.34 in the third
But Vick should have spiked and given the team time to regroup rather than making another quick play and getting picked off. And ultimately, how costly was that one foot out of bounds on the two point conversion (not to mention the two missed field goals).
So next week:
Jets at Patriots
Ravens at Steelers
Seahawks at Bears
Packers at Falcons
I'm going for the Patriots, Steelers, Bears and Packers.
I would pick them and the bears for the NFC Champ game.
It's really tough to see past the Pats and Steelers in the AFC.
Can't see the Jets making it past the Patriots though, they look formidable and there's no unbeaten record to put huge pressure on them this time
Have a sneaking suspicion that the Jets may be able to pull it off somehow
Would definitely say Steelers
Fancied the Falcons as an outside bet, haven't been overly convinced with the Packers this season even if Rodgers is looking pretty good
Bears could be fairly comfortable, or get routed. We've been massively inconsistant so far, especially Cutler, and seem to have a knack of buggering it up with a lot of stupid penalties. Go Bears!
Reminded me of the man... the legend... the great Earl Campbell
I had just read that :)
Pats let me down.
So I think it will be a Packers Steelers superbowl, which would be good. I like the Steelers, but think the Pack are going all the way from here. They're going like a juggernaut.
Not sure yet who to predict for the AFC but I think the Packers can make it from the NFC, they're on a roll.
man i'm excited for the last two weekends.
so excited, i might even order this.
was the big disappointment for those of us who bet on them to win with a 10.5 point start. WHERE WAS MY TWO POINT CONVERSION YOU BASTARDS?
Jets - Steelers -- I'll take the Jets, only because I like them.
Bears - Packers -- I've not watched the Bears at all due to not being anywhere near their TV area (not that I am near the others, but the rest seem to be shown more often, especailly the Packers and the Jets) so I might fancy the Packers... but no idea.
So I say a New York Jets - Greenbay Packers XLV.
Rodgers is on fire, they actually have a running game for the first time this year... The defence is playing like it has been all year but everyone is noticing it. They're the complete team.
I like the Jets against the Steelers, I really do. But I think it'll be difficult to get the players as fired up as they were for the New England game, which might cost us. Definitely can't think that because we did it once this year already we can do it again. That said, Ryan is proving himself to be a great tactician, and the defence is working overtime. Am worried about how good Steelers are at shutting down the run and getting to the QB though - two things which will really hurt us.
Just want to say that the Jets special teams have been the unsung hero of this season. Great field position, every time. And I wish people would stop hating on Sanchez. His record speaks for itself. Only Big Ben has ever equalled what he's done in his first two seasons.
Anthony Adams is fast becoming my favourite player - that pregame dance he just performed plus running after the wrong ball after a fumble. playing the sport how it's meant to be played.
They're on fire still in these playoffs. Bears have had one first down so far, need to turn that around quickly
My Skyplayers gone shit and said too many managerial devices or something :(
Bears squandering another opportunity.
Can they turn this around with their third string QB in 12 minutes?
This just got interesting.
Julius Peppers just tried to take Rodger's head off. This one could be nervy.
Penalties, fumbles, interceptions
What do we think? I say they make it.
I couldn't have been more wrong!
Game over. Packers go to the superbowl.
Maybe nerves took over for them tonight.
I was premature there too.
I should stop airing my predictions, but hey, it's making a good finish.
Great celebration too.
after two quarters or so of errors and punts. Packers should have killed it off ages ago, now all of a sudden it's game on.
Really tough intentional grounding call there.
So I'm just going to say, I think the bears will score on this drive to get OT.
I seem to be making interceptions here.
If any of you want me to curse the team you don't want to win in the AFC game let me know.
Logging off now, but going to bed down on the sofa for a football/sleep lottery before my work alarm tomorrow.
I'm hoping the Steelers come through (they're my second team, because of a girl I once liked), so every time the ball lands in Troy Polamalu's hands, just know I was expecting a Jets TD.
Went in alone, but got caught up in the atmosphere and ended up making friends with some Green Bay fans. Not a big NFL fan, but it was rad!
Don't go 24-0 down, least of all against the Steelers.
Mendenhall was a machine.
i got 1/2 correct, which isn't too bad. the steelers game was an education in not going 24 without reply.
pro bowl next. woop
And will put the Packers for the Superbowl.
Since this is the last one of the season, I'll even say they win it by 10 points.
What do you lot think?
What makes it even worse is how well we played in the second half. Sanchez was on fire.
Prediction - Packers to win 27-21. Rodgers for MVP.
Just because...well...they're the Steelers
Ben is a rapist who deserves to lose.
I just hope it's a good game is all.
