The Friday Condiment Thread - Today Fish Sauce
usually called Thai Fish sauce or if you're pretentious Nam Pla or if you're even more pretentious, as I am, Nouc Mam (the Vietnamese variety).
Smells and tastes like salty death (or heavily fermented fish) but just a few drops of this nectar can improve your fusion dish a great deal. Treat it a bit like soy and you'll be fine.
