help me pls.
i had shingles when i was about 9 years old, having already had chickenpox at age 5. i guess we're the lucky ones, eh?
you've been to the doctor, i'm assuming? did you catch it right away, or are you all broken out in spots?
you have my sympathy. shingles are not fun in the least. :(
I presume that this means that you won't be heading out to the US as planned?

but dont worry its far safer than adult chickenpox...you'll be alright in no time

It affects the nerve endings in the skin or something. I got it when I was 14 which apparently is quite rare (typical). Anti-viral cream or calamine lotion helps with the ouchy bits.
Obviously not fun, but I don't remember them being as bad as most people make them out to be
Well, it was for me, anyway.
so apart from it having a comedy name it's actually bot too bad. called nhs 24 and they just told me to pick up some pain killers and camaline lotion. easy.
still though :(
Camaline sounds like something well-dodge...
if I remember correctly, the US doesn't like admitting people with contagious diseases. It's better to postpone it and reclaim on your insurance, than get stuck at the airport if they won't let you in.
