I've just moved into a new flat. The previous tenants cancelled the BT phone/broadband line. Dude in the BT call-centre told me it will cost £50 to set up a new line, and that they won't be able to send an engineer out until September.
Is there another way of doing things ie. not having to reactivate a BT line/spending £50/waiting until September/bla
I am totally clueless about all of this so please feel free to assume total ignorance on my part if you are to be so kind as to answer my questions.
