£180 per month isn't even that much.
don't talk the talk.
It's the real problem in many areas rather than too many people on jobseekers allowance. But the group I blame most is not the government but GPs.
OMG CANT WAIT TILL THEY RUN EVERYTHING EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE NOT EVEN NHS EMPLOYEEES.
o_O / :-D
People with any kind of disability like that could probably fill it in 10 different ways on 10 different days. GPs/medical notes should really play more of a role in assessment I think.
that this sort of thing might happen to them, and they wont automatically get looked after......its no good them saying there will be a review of this, this sort of treatment of some wounded troops has been happening for an awfully long time, before the last labour gov even, maybe for always.
The awful thing is the amount of money that is spent on the machines and troops of war but how little on the consequences.
Both troops AND civilians.
Whilst multi million pound aircraft are launching multi thousand pound munitions the gov will quibble over 180 a month
broken flesh and bone dont figure so much cos you dont have to commision flesh and bone, (apart from the investment in the soldiers training) they are a result of biological processes and parental upbringing/costs.....or if brought up on the dole, well at least that is another cost centre to the gov.
I think govs are still far TOO ready to have their armed conflicts, because they then have to lie/fib/veil the realities of war to a gentle fluffy civilian population that doesnt experiance armed conflict particularly anymore.......the only signs to comfy western societies that something isnt quite BAU (which death and maiming is in armed conflict) is the depressing regular toll of soldier deaths.
Ive never understood why the news never reports on tolls or estimates of afghan (civ and combatants on both sides)....well I do understand why, but there is little point in going into it
