3-2 to the Reds.
In some ways, I have no idea how as we dominated the first half and should have been 2 or 3 up. But it came back to haunt us in the second half when we struggled with the constant rotations, wind and ball over the top. Also, if I'm being a bit critical of my own side, there were so many occasions where we had a man over on the edge of their box and somehow didn't get a shot away or an effort on target. I had nothing to do at all first half, and the same went for Louis in the second by and large, possibly due to playing into the wind / sun.
I had a stinker second half though - I'm really sorry. Didn't deal with much very well at all today, so maybe I should call time on these forays in goal I've made these last 3 matches. My kicking it only 20 odd yards gifted Jake their first, though it was still a good finish. His second from a corner was nuts; Phil went to head it, I totally had it covered anyhow and then it just veered about a foot off course due to the wind and in off my glove and then crossbar. Plain odd.
And I refuse to acknowledge Colin's goal.
So yeah, I was a bit rubbish. Saved one with my bollocks though, so that was nice.
Not sure what it was like from a Reds perspective, but Blues MOTM awards to maybe JuxtaposedJames for us or maybe Stealthy or Nick, who both put in a great stint. Keough was good for you guys as ever. Thought Will put himself about a bit too. We were undone by some balls over the top really, 2 half mistakes from me and a silly 10 minutes when we had it all under control and then blew it.
Best thing about the day? The Doom Bar up the pub afterwards and general plot outline for Falling Down 2 starring Michael Owen as a cloned Raoul Moat set in 2067. MAKE IT NOW.
