Thank fuck for that - hopefully not another false dawn in the process of stopping this thing
they could just say, "yeah we've stopped it" couldnt they? that underwater camera: sure they havent done a 'Speed' style cover up?
it's so impossibly sad and devastating. Did you see it's now effectively a felony to take photos of the leak and its effects in the US?
do I really want to reward bad behaviour? Do I want to be PART of BP? I think I’m fine not giving them any money
I heard you can run them on that. It smells funny and it made some funny noises but I would imagine that's just the price I have to pay.
after the infamous chip fat spill off the coast of Hull
According to a rather 'interesting' piece on a website called Helium (which is "where knowledge rules").
starring Elijah Wood, Pierce Brosnan, Tommy Lee Jones, Bruce Willis, That Guy From 'The Core', etc etc
Whenever an actor appears I would fast forward.
Just like I've done with 2012 and the Day after the Day before Yesterday.
"Helium is also a knowledge co-operative where our writers are also our editors who read and rate every article on the site."
then check the creds of the dude whos saying this and hes basically one of the 2012/apocalypticist nutcases.
Now they just need to clear up the rumblings over this prisoner transfer rumour thingy wotsit.
And did you know that the crew who've been investigatin/reporting/recommending on student loans is headed up by an ex-BP head honcho?
But look on the bright side: Yer pension will probably be safe-ish now, maybe.
it reflects pretty badly on Obama, actually.
when was the other time?
Obama’s looked ineffective
Joe Barton’s apologised to BP
Bobby Jindal’s been blatantly showboating
Haley Barbour’s been in denial
The weird thing is, public opinion has barely shifted in favour of energy reform. I really struggle to understand the normal American sometimes. I can’t imagine another country that had oil spilling into its waters for three months where there wouldn’t be mass marches in the streets in favour of cleaner energy laws, let alone no real uptick in favour of it.
now collect free fuel by going to your nearest coast and filling your tank.
the hypocrisy isn't even so much in BP being THIRTY NINE PERCENT AMERICAN SHARES compared to 40 British. It's that they're in complete denial about their own unhealthy dependency on getting oil at the cheapest possible price without accepting any of the consequences.
that I purchased a bunch of BP shares a few weeks ago?
I've never been attributed as smug before. This could be a first.
Oh, and good news environmentally as well.
