Pretty good. It's set in an unnamed African country on the brink of civil war, and focuses on a white family's struggle to survive on their farm.
Huppert is splendid as per usual and I couldn't stop looking at the freckled, slightly grizzled quality of her face. Christopher Lambert (!) is in it as well.
It doesn't go for easy cinematic routes, but it's always compelling. The camera work is intimate and disorientating, the score (possibly by Tindersticks) is quietly atmospheric.
To put it crudely, a thinking mans Hotel Rwanda?
