my god. he is a cunt.
georgey boy looks demented.
nick just looks ashamed.
This doesn't deserve its own thread, but I want to urge whoever is interested to read Simon Hoggart's sketch in today's Guardian on the Treasury Questions held yesterday.
It features Douglas Alexander (as Gideon was in Euroland) and, to anyone who regularly reads the sketches, the infamous Sir Peter Tapsell.
this doesn't warrant its own thread.
get over it.
When you pare away the PR, the main characteristic of Cameron and co, as well as their policies, is that they don't care what most of the populace thinks. They don't care about you, because you couldn't pay £50,000 to join the 'Leader's Group' and so bend the ear of Cameron in private. Also, you didn't go to school with them and are therefore, in terms of your opportunities in life compared to theirs, a peasant, in a very real sense.
If they look smug, it's because they've given themselves a five-year minimum term by scrapping parliamentary convention on holding the confidence of parliament which will allow them to do lots of lovely work for their friends in private equity, safe from interference from the electorate, or even Parliament.
Oh, and David Cameron has a face made of ham, which is, in fairness, a bit of a USP.
As for Clegg and co., they look miserable because they can only try and delimit the damage to the welfare state which Gideon and co. would happily wreak, like a court jester trying to save a few slaves from being raped by the king by deploying the feeble distractions of a nice smile, a feeble joke, and the occasional cup of fairtrade camomile.
The damage to their party they Know is irreparable in this political generation. Their only concrete achievement from entering into coalition will be the feat of getting David MiliBananaband elected as Labour leader.
Which isn't anything to boast about, really.
