i am also equally fond of the way he says, 'now listen here, sugartits' in the IT crowd.
always just sounds like he's trying too hard to do a 'serious comedy voice'
Can't he do just one comedy using his real voice for once?
It was good in Dark Places but when I saw him in something else it was a bit 'oh! He's still doing THAT voice'
Seems like he wants to off himself. Made me hate him a bit. Quite a lot, actually. Fucking real life.
can anyone tell me why the interviewer is asking the interviewee about something he did 15 years ago?
he's joking, it's a show pretending to be a show from a long time ago.
every line he delivers makes me laugh all that much more then if anyone else did it
Got such a swagger in his voice and with the delivery.
This clip nearly made me die with laughter when I first saw it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qSWgYQPmnc&feature=related
I thought he was fantastic as Dr Sanchez in garth merenghis darkplace as well.....not used properly in the boosh though. Douglas is the perfect role for him though......I loved it most i nthe last series when he opened a drawer exploratorarily and pulled out a revolver the way he said 'hey a gun' with such detached pleasure and such mild suprise had me in stitches.
However I sort of disagree because I think that he is pipped to the post by Reginald D Hunter who HAS got the greatest voice in comedy
was at a dj set by the mighty boosh on my birthday about 5 years ago or so (just after the first series had been on), and at some point after many pints i wander over to inform Julia Davis of her genius, and once done with this, noticed she was stood next to Matt Berry, so i said "ah the zoo keeper"
and he replied, in voice, "I F***ING OWN THE ZOO".
He didn't do the voice. Your story is better.
