Theo? Sean? You know, the most popular thread/user profiles etc.
I don't fancy your chances of seeing any stats.
Nah, I can't remember what all the stats were last time but it was interesting. Think there was stuff about where people where linking to this site form and that kind of stuff.
I don't think there's a permanent web person so there's no one to do the necessary SQL statements to get the data you want.
can you solidify this with some kind of scatter diagram please.
Chance of a permanent web person working at DiS right now: 0%
Chance of a contractor at work right now: 10%
Chance of a contractor in 2 months when the Blackberry money comes through: 100%
Chance of a "Replies appearing in the right place courtesy of Ray-Bans" strapline on all community pages once it's fixed: 43%
That'll do. CHEERS :)
Say on a scale of 1-10.
but the addition of JGJug's ^This'd link below brings my satisfaction up to a 6.7
on a 'thoughts about self per second' timeline.
Yeah, that's the kind of thing I want to see! AWESOME.
He'll be back.
Lasted about 5 days, and even read a couple of threads in that period.
I hadn't this'd it. I have now.
It was like the DiS equivalent of seeing how many people you can cram into a phone box.
As a ratio.
to ^This the first reply to see if we could get an entire screen of Thisses?
were you looking for an old CG post? I was, and found the one from last December:
Many Parkinsons sufferers actually suffer from unnatural stillness. I'm much more like someone with one of those dancing fevers, if the fever was confined to their fingers.
Jack-El-Biscuit is more of a bottom righty type.
I'm now physically in pain. Which probably puts me somewhere in the top right.
Alexa is not accurate. They rely on people using their toolbar to gather the stats and that is not a representative sample of whose out there. It has a bias towards techies in that sample as well. This means the figures are notoriously inaccurate for everything except the biggest sites. If you have a bigger site then its a useful measure of relative popularity to your competitors but it doesn't mean much for us.
If you Google 'alexa accuracy' you can see a selection of articles on this topic.
I only found those links because Sean posted them but he did imply they weren't universal like Google Analytics.
