Although i was kinda horrified by the last orange/a-team trailer is saw.
I look forward to a full critique (minus spoilers of course) on monday morn.
NOTICE HOW MY LACK OF PUNCTUATION THERE CREATES A SEXY DOUBLE MEANING
obviously i was expecting way too much from this
it has its upsides, such as BA actually having a personality, and *at times* it's funny. like when murdock's in the german mental hospital. other that than though it's all too much - too loud, too fast, too in your face, too much serious business, too lacking in sublety and the kind of smooth or slick image from the series... i mean, face is suddenly a loud muscley man who says motherfucker! he was my least favourite in this film, which is sad cause he's great in the series.
also be aware (if you weren't already) that this is a kind of a reboot, where you see how the guys first met, how BA came to hate flying, how they became "wanted for a crime they didn't commit", all of that stuff. (although obviously it's not the plot with the bank of hanoi and all that). the thing with BA trying to stop being violent could have been funny, and you would have expected it to seeing as it's a film based on one of the funniest series i know, but instead they try to make it all serious and i think that is their big unforgivable sin here. it doesn't help to have face flirting (wildly over the top) with various women and murdock being... well, murdock, in a few scenes, when most of the film seems like it's trying to prove some kind of serious point, but being unable to decide on what that point should be.
you'll probably enjoy this film more if you don't feel strongly about the original series.
there hadn't been an A-Team thread yet.
I'm going next weekend — can't wait. It's had some great reviews (even a 5-star review).
avoiding the above review from whitey, since I don't want no spoilers.
spoiling my buzz, lady.
you should check it out sometime
