Record shops and eating :)
Plus I don't even know myself. I'm one of those people who only remember great places after someone told me they went there last night and I'm gutted about it for a bit and a bit moany and like 'why don't we ever go anywhere cool?', then I forget them straight away and end up going into the crappest pub/restaurant in town. Again.
Records Shops would be Piccadilly Records. I used to like Polar Bear but that's gone now.
What do you like to eat? Is it for lunch or dinner?
I need to try the green curry pizza, and the one which has ceasar dressing instead of passata.
But I always go for the meatball or the rocket and parmesan one :)
Their bases are rubbish. I make better pizzas than them.
Whoever rolls them has a club fist because you get one thin crispy half and one thick doughy bit. The toppings are fab though.

They also do a good happy hour then, as per my utterly cunted on wine demeanour on weds night after being led astray by Scout.
and have a really good wander about, you'll find independent record shops (of varying quality), galleries, vintage clothing shops, cafes bars and restaurants. Affleck's palace is a huge collection of little bespoke clothes and arty shops, under one (crumbly) rood. You can play pool and eat pizza and drink LATE in the blackdog (open till 5am-ish). I can recommend you lots of places in this area (I live just around the corner freom afflecks) but I don't really know what you're after. What I do know, is that an excellent speciality ale bar has just opened on Thomas Street (it's called marble). Don't get the cheeseboard though, it's ovepriced. For Japanese (best bento boxes in Manc) and cocktails, go to Walrus. If you like rum, the best tiki bar is keko moku. If you go there, tell themn Lulu sent you and then I predict that your night will end messily :)
I guess I'll be having my leaving party there btw. I'll get the boys to do us a pirate's chest full of rum and stuff. And hand grenades. I'll give you plkenty notice so you can prepare your liver accordingly :)
it's best to walk another 5 minutes up rochdale road to the Marble Arch? They do brew the Marble bitter there.
i miss manchester.
