for taking onto flights?
The airport operators are campaigning (or rather, I am opn their behalf) just now to get the ban lifted, as it increases security costs at that part of teh security process, when actually there are areas of aviation security which are lacking and much more requiring of more stringent precautions. I'm expecting the DoT to agree with me (naturally) and the ban to be lifted next year, which will be GREAT for me, as I find those polly bags really fiddly.
A simple yes would have done, heh? Sorry!
For domestic flights however- no, not meaningless at all. And probably more imprtant because many peopel who fly on domestic flights only have carry on luggage and are restricted as to what they can take on board.
If you are flying ryanair, expect to be fisted by a lesbian who is convinced that you are carrying your deodorant in your anus. Also, in ryanmair dominated airports they are ULTRA strict about liquids because if they can catch you out, it means that they can make you remortgage your house to pay for putting your bag in the stupid hold.
I'm all over Ryanair this weekend
