Nice, Sun. Real nice. I HOPE YOU BURN.
but I fail to see the real controversy here. Unless people are somehow surprised that not everyone who reads The Sun is a bigot or that Littlejohn managed to make a reasonable point in a cuntish way ...
'why were people getting annoyed with the nazis in 1944? They *knew* they were nazis after all.'
And Littlejohn could just have made a reasonable point in a reasonable way. *Someone* has to point these shortcomings out, and I'm glad the Guardian has.
idk, looks like a massive own goal on the part of The Sun to me, seeing as respondents overwhelming said they were for gay minusters or didn't really care about their sexuality. I'd wager there'd have been a whole lot of 'what a fucking stupid question' responses, had that been an option. That's almost something to celebrate. I guess.
I think it's this grubby feeling of the Sun almost dipping its toe in the water: "is it alright to hate gays again?"
And I had the awesome dilemma there of wanting to reference the nazis because it was a good analogy and fucking Godwins! :-D
A new record, shirley?
everyone's a godwin moderator nowadays
i'm gonna start a rule where if you use 'the' in an argument, your point, and your entire existence, are instantly void.
They cracked down on the use of seemingly unnecessary obscure words like 'meerschweinchen', and then before you know it 'the' had been added to the list.

A dodgy MP. A casually retrogressive Sun. A storm of Twitter outrage. Richard Littlejohn.
What a thoroughly miserable opening to the day.
''hey rich, look....i'm coming all over your wife's tits''
''very well sir, i'll accept that''
is why he thinks that rule is limited to Liberal (big or little L, can't remember?) MPs ...
Of course gay<>dresses.
