great stuff...easily one of the best 'horror' films of the last whenever...
anyone think of a better one?
apart from some rather naff CGI.
The Children is very good.
i really didn't think it was that bad.
to the film's ending. Still really liked it though.
Up there with Threads as one of the bleakest films of all time.
it just felt like a badly acted TV movie with ropey effects. It's a while since I saw it but the Christian nutter woman was awful. End was ok I suppose.
Maybe I was in a bad mood that day.
The Michael Bay one. Definitely one of the worst films I've ever seen. Ever. Don't watch it.
even though i didn't pay to see it, i still hated myself.
or is that set in a small town radio station in contact with a boat where a mysterious fog wreaks some sort of terrifying havoc? cos i watched that once and i think i enjoyed.
it might have been called the fog actually. ohh :(
i should have imdb'd it before i came across as a simpleton.
The acting is pretty shite, as is the ending, and the whole FEAR RELIGION wasn't done especially well, imo.
Entertaining enough, mind.
albeit quite depressing. Up until that point it's just a not bad horror film.
I prefer Halloween though.
a great allegory for contemporary america, the war in iraq and who you will turn to when offered the best solution to a problem...yada, yada, yada...
A lot of people I found were quite... antagonised by the ending.
I on the other hand, was delighted. I also remember the film itself being a surprisingly restrained, well-paced piece of work.
paced really well...great atmosphere created. i thought it was acted really well too.
THEY DON'T MAKES EM THAT THIS ANYMORE!11!1
can i add that i was pretty underwhelmed by Rec (the original, not seen yank one)
The yank one is the same, scene-fo-scene except one bit where they explain the virus away as rabies, rather than some devil thing.
It'll be nice, the then girlfriend said. Make a change from the Vuie in Staines, the then girlfriend said.
I've only been to Feltham cinema once, won't be going again.
My cinema choices were very limited
should i stop being lame and just do it?
still one of my all time favourite horror films
i'd imagine the sequel was rubbish
i like the mist, but i agree with the sentiments that it looks like a tv movie
i saw this on the reccpmmendation of you chumps about a year ago - it is awful awful stuff
i am never taking any advice from any of you ever again
In a good way, mind.
I was all YAS GIANT MONSTERS and pure excited about it and then they appear and the cgi is rubbish but that merely adds to the charm :D
it made me feel :(
but it seems to fit.
at the end is 'kin shit
the acting is bad and it's not scary though
but it was great. When the religious woman got shot there was a spontaneous round of applause. Incredible experience.
I watched the black and white version, which is apparently better than the colour version. I can't verify this, but it was excellent in black and white
be interesting if darabont feels that this is how the film should be viewed.
