So our proud nation's nuclear deterrent is nearing the end of its lifespan, yet it's never had so much as a gallop around the paddock. It'd be a real shame if it never got used, like a unwanted toy that never even makes it out of the box. That's why I think we should use it, and use it *now* so that we can make an informed decision on whether to renew it.
The question is, who should we nuke? Iceland seem to be pissing a lot of people off at the moment, and I've been there already so I wouldn't miss it that much. Or maybe Russia for old times' sake, though they're more likely to strike back.
If Gordon did this now, decisively, I reckon he could pull the election out of the bag.
