What's the maximum you can spend on an Oyster card in a day?
I remember someone saying you couldn't spend more than 4 quid or something. I'm pretty sceptic.
I hate oyster cards.

as much as a travel would cost for the zones you've travelled in.
more like £6/7
i believe
you can technically spend as much as you want but once you reach the price of a 'day travelcard' you aren't charged for any further journeys on that day?
i may be wrong though.
£18
but you have to travel 3 times to/from zone 1 to Watford Junction during peak hours.
Depends which Zone you travel in
SO if you only travel Zones 1 and 2, it gets capped at £5.60

They automatically work out what is cheapest.
So if you just did one or two journeys it would just charge you singles. Once you spend enough it automatically goes to a price of a travel card. So it really depends how much you use it and what zones you are going into and whether it is peak or off peak...
Generally speaking a peak travel card (zones 1- 2) is 7.20 and an off peak is 5.60 so you probably won't spend more than that.
Really?
I must say I've never used it to go out of zones 1 - 2 tho it says on the website it should do the opposite of what you say. Though I'm not surprised it doesn't to be fair.
Depends on the mode of transport that you use:

About 6 squid, they're so shellfish.
depends which crus-station you travel to

what'll be the cheapest way for my to run about like a girl on the tube for
4 days?
If you stay down there overnight,
then you should be able to do it for the cost of a single journey.

Has anyone heard about those hipsters switching back to paper tickets because it feels more authentic?
Have you noticed that whenever anyone mentions travelling in London
loads of people like to share/show-off their massive knowledge of tube lines/oysters cards/etc?

When I go to London from Twyford it is far more economical
to get a one day travelcard which gives me unlimited travel in all zones plus a return to Twyford for £10.50. However I feel like such a chode with my paper ticket. I used to live in London! Am not a tourist! Don't look at meeee!

i thought that
oyster cards capped you at 50p below whatever travelcard you'd have needed ?
If I use my oyster between zones 1 and 6 on train and tube today
what is the price cap for oyster card? also can I use past 12:30am, or is this a new day
may thanbks
Cap should be about £8 or £9
New day doesn't start until 4am, so you're fine to use it for getting home (usually!)
