Watch me skateboard. Only if you want to. I'm whoring this around at the moment. It's old but decent footage.
Thanks for the nice comments folks.
I used to skateboard, but very very badly. Really enjoyed this. Thanks for putting it up!
I could pull a 50/50 maybe once out of 20 times. the other 19 my face would be floorwards.
that was about it. I tried standing on my board a few weeks ago. Nearly stacked it into a table.
I don't skate much myself nowadays. 2007 was the last time I was properly ripping. I did this my whole life from age 15 onwards.
Nowadays I'm more of a Dad first and I've turned to Tennis for my exercise regime.
I found all my old footage on my old mac so put this together and was quite pleased with it. Thanks again for all the nice comments guys.
don't suppose you were once on a free dvd called "day in the city" or something like that, came free with a skateboarding magazine, recognise the name.
I don't think so but you never know. I was a big part of the brum scene for so long and was filmed and photographed many times, that stuff could pop up anywhere. But I've never heard of that one.
but seems to be the sport (if it can be called that) that requires the most effort and pain before even getting a grip on the basics.
that skateboarding is probably the most fun when you first start because you're learning and progressing every day. Once you've learnt to basically ride and roll along you can start learning ollies and kickflips on carpet or grass. That's what me and my friends did when we were teenagers. It only gets painful when you have learnt all the basics and you start throwing yourself downstairs etc.
It's all great fun though! And it's about how hard you want to push yourself.
Our Mum's went mad about the carpet sessions I can tell you.
