No, nicky campbell.
the centrepiece seemed to be Winterval, which we pretty much are all aware now wasn't a replacement name for Christmas at all. Was it all on that stupidity, John Beyer-pleasing level?
it is retarted
'there are some christians who wonder what the fuss is all about. They welcome what multiculturalism has brought in its wake'
So glad I could turn over half way through to watch Heat instead.
CLOSE CLOSE CLOSE
You make decisions about morality, politics, war etc etc that affect all of our lives based on your notional clue about what your particular brand of invisible man in the sky wants? Fucksake. Bring back the lions.
the point that without religion, we get the jacobean terror and stalinist russia.
Shami from liberty made a load of sense as per usual mind you.
even I think it was stupid that the nurse was sacked for offering to pray for a patient. Had she been a muslim and offered to pray, she would not have been sacked. INB4 indie shitstorm http://i39.tinypic.com/14b5feg.jpg
Just like majority pride isn't. Note: I didn't watch the programme. But come on, you can get away with saying so much more about Christians than you can about people of other religions (Muslims excluded). Is there more hatred for members of minority groups? No doubt, but it's hatred that people generally keep to themselves, knowing they (rightly) can't get away with expressing it in our politically correct society. But with their criticism of Christianity, which perhaps inevitably leads to persecution, people are willing and able to be quite blatant.
I realise this is an extension of your argument a little bit but surely an element of self-critique in things where Christians would say 'Ah, but they wouldn't do that to those muslims'. For example, Jerry Springer: The Opera, even if the makers themselves aren't Christians, they would have had to spend most of their childhood singing 'All creatures great and small'; it's ingrained in the way most British children are reared, the law system works etc. certainly for anyone over the 20.
Whereas there is I find disconcerting about a person unaware of the nuances of, say Islam, trying to offer a similar critique, when they have not been, and will never be, reared within that culture. Cf. Kevin whats-his-face bitching about veils.
Campbell's conclusion was, yes, christians are being persecuted. Apart from you know, being in the house of lords and shit.
I may be rongg.
