I hope Shucks sees this and gets insanely excited.
Anyone else remember these? So, so fun <3 YES.
I prefered the magic picture books, to be honest.
Where's Wally? was the best. By miles and miles and miles.
I still have them all but I only have Murder on the Midnight Plane and that one about the jungle here, the others are at my mum's.
I loved them and still do LOADS
It was brilliant, especially the page on trying to find which food wasn't poisonous/was poisoned.
And the bastard who escapes by pressing the ring in the portrait. Fucker!
time train to ancient rome and the agent artur ones were the best
i'm going home this weekend so i'm going to have a dig around to see if i can find some :D
still have loads of them at home.
these were the only book i used to get out of the library.
I had the dinosaur one, the space bus one, and the roman one.
I remember it being quite dark as well - like there was some form of betrayal mid-book.
There was one where you had to navigate your way through a haunted house. AWESOME.
I used to have the Usborne Mysteries of the Unknown book, which was brilliant. My parents made me get rid of it though because I used to scare my little brother with it :(
I loved them, although I never had the patience to sit and work out the codes (I just assumed I would be able to do them if I tried, because I'm so bright and all). Working out routes through the detailed drawings was great.
