Hello DiS vegetarians and whichever of you have clicked on this thread to call me a pussy or otherwise insult my masculinity...
I've recently opted to become (mostly) vegetarian for a few reasons I'm not going to go into here (but rest assured they have nothing to do with sympathy for dead animals or any such thing). I like it fine, it's stretching my cooking skills and making me more creative and I feel pretty healthy and happy etc etc
BUT. I'm struggling to work out where I'm getting enough protein in: I eat cheese, mushrooms, pulses etc but as a skint student buying a lot of dairy products is pretty expensive and it all gets a bit boring after a while.
So wondered if anyone would be kind enough to recommend some good sources of protein...as a scrawny type I really need to keep my levels up especially as I've gone on some new exercise drive of late. Any recipes or hints or tips would also be welcome.
