Or has this been covered?
But fuck that guy's voice is annoying.
Goodbye the job of the 'retoucher'...
We're entering a brand new age of photographic lying for political gain.
No time to waste - I'm going to update my CV now...
but i'm never going to trust any picture not taken by me again
it looks photoshopped to me.
that's seriously incredible
Every year, I get slightly closer to being wholly redundant.
people are now just going to be able to pretend they took an amazing picture when really a computer created an amazing picture.
that doesn't sound good at all :(
this just makes it quicker and easier, and therefore probably more pervasive. For stuff like photojournalism there are strict rules about using photoshop - pretty much only for brightening/darkening, sharpening, removing colour casts etc. No actual changing or manipulation of the content. But for commercial/corporate/fashion stuff it seems anything goes, and I'm sure content aware fill will be very widely used.
Well, you still have to take the amazing picture. It's now just easier to edit bits of shit out of it.
um... well, ace.
GIMP has been able to do this for a while though.
